Day 1 - 6 Dec 2019
Content: We started our journey with a 10hr Gulf Air flight from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to Cairo International Airport. As soon as we landed we saw Egyptian culture all around the airport, security check and immigration was speedy. Old terminal needs cleanliness and maintenance.
Content: From airport we rented a car for our entire journey in Cairo, with a 30 min drive we reached our hotel, Checked-in to hotel located near Cairo museum, the rooms were very clean and staff is welcoming. Early check-in is allowed on availability.
Content: We relaxed at hotel. In the evening our tour advisor arrived at the hotel and gave briefing about our itinerary & provided some guidelines needed to be followed.
Content: With a short walk through the streets we reached a French restaurant, had sea food with great view of Nile and with sweet piano melody. The food was delicious and hospitality was great. It is expensive.
Day 2 - 7 Dec 2019
Content: In morning had buffet breakfast and started our journey with a 30 min rental car drive to the Great Pyramids of Cheops, located on Giza Plateau. It is the oldest and largest pyramid in seven wonders of the world. peaceful place, over pricing scams are there, be aware.
Content: Pyramid of Khafre is also known as pyramid of Chephren, It is the tomb of Fourth dynasty Pharaoh Khafre. This pyramid still serves the original glimpse of the actual pyramid. Tickets are cheap then other pyramids, as it is affordable it can be choose to visit from inside rather then others.
Content: Valley temple is the place in the pyramid complex located at the edge of desert used for royal ceremony. It is simple but an impressive structure. It faces towards the great statue.
Content: Taking a 1 hr drive, we reached The Egyptian Museum which is also known as museum of Cairo, which contains Egyptian antiquities. The monuments represent ancient Egyptian history but some statues are shifted to new museum. There are locker facility available.
Content: The Hanging Church which is also known as Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church, it is a famous church built in Basilican style, the architecture is remarkable and well maintained. Must visit place in old Cairo.
Content: Took a 20min drive to Islamic Cairo, Khan El Khalili is a famous market and the historic center of Cairo, which has narrow streets and small shops. Best place to buy souvenir.
Content: We had Lebanese dinner on Nile Maxim river cruise. The salad bar was excellent but main course was average, everyone there ask for tip.
Day 3 - 8 Dec 2019
Content: Checked-out from hotel and took a 30min drive to Cairo International Airport from where we boarded a 1hr Egypt Air flight to Luxor International Airport. Small, good and comfortable airport, staff is very dedicated to their work.
Content: With a short drive from airport we boarded our Nile River Cruise which is operated by Sanctuary Retreats from Luxor to Aswan where we will be spending our 4 days, the staff welcomed us with a fresh juice and flower.
Content: Had our lunch on board before heading towards our destination, they served us beef steak which was average in taste.
Content: Karnak is a temple built from huge stones, this place needs 2 hours to explore, and night light show is worth watching, guide is recommended.
Day 4 - 9 Dec 2019
Content: Started our morning with a breakfast in Nile river, where we visited 62 Pharaohs, Pharaohs were known as the most powerful person in the kingdom. The best place to know about history of Pharaohs.
Content: Visited Valley of the Kings which is known for its beautifully painted royal tombs, this is the place where kings and queens were buried. This place has incredible history, guide is recommended.
Content: With a short drive we reached Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut which is a mortuary temple of Ancient Egypt, which represents incredible power and courage of women. Good place to observe ancient and modern architecture.
Content: Before heading back to our cruise we took a 10 min drive and reached Colossi of Memnon are the two massive stone statues, it is known as when there is heavy wind the statues sing. Guide is recommended for best knowledge about th e history of statues.
Content: We returned back to our cruise and had salmon with vine in dinner, which was good in taste and the crew was very attentive. Later sailed to Edfu.
Day 5 - 10 Dec 2019
Content: After Breakfast, visited Ptolemaic Temple, the place is known for best preserved shrines. Inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language and myth. Well preserved temple and good place to click some candid.

Content: Later after visiting temple we returned back to our cruise and headed towards Kom Ombo which is known as agriculture town of Egypt.
Content: After Cruising for 3 hours, reached Temple of Sobek which is a temple dedicated to crocodile god Sobek. Museum is located in next tio temple,the temple is Small then we visited before.
Content: Visited museum and boarded back to our cruise sailing towards Aswan, we ordered food on board which was much better then the one served in the package.
Day 6 - 11 Dec 2019
Content: After breakfast, it was the day to explore Aswan, we passed thorugh Aswan High Dam which is worlds largest embankment dam across the Nile. and is a big achievement for the people of Egypt. special permission are required to visit.
Content: Unfinished Obelisk is 30min drive from Dam, It is the largest Egyptian obelisk ever erected, which represents ancient Egyptian stone-working techniques. Good place to learn about stone cutting techniques, Guide is recommended.
Content: Philae is a island where temple complex is located, Philae means "the end", the temple is dedicated to goddess Isis. Marvelous view of temple between the water.
Content: After exploration of Aswan, we boarded back to our cruise and had our last dinner on board with a spectacular view of Nile river.
Day 7 - 12 Dec 2019
Content: With a beautiful day on board we disembarked from cruise and took a short drive to Aswan International Airport, where we boarded a 1 hr Egypt Air flight to Cairo International Airport.

Content: Took a short walk through covered bridge of terminal 3 to the hotel, It is located just next to the airport. guest service was lacking but rooms were spacious.
Content: Had dinner at the hotel itself, they had wide range of menu to offer, food was top-notch so was the vine. Restaurant staff was very attentive and friendly.
Day 8 - 13 Dec 2019
Content: With a 30min drive from hotel we reached Cairo International Airport from where we boarded a 16hr Emirates Airlines flight to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Nile river cruise will always be remembered.
