Content: Hammam De La Rose is the best rated Spa in Marrakech. Book the private Royal Hammam. A Hammam is a Moroccan spa and bath. It costed me only 45 euros for a Royal spa. If you aren’t comfortable with sharing the bath with other women then this is a great option.

A Riad is a traditional Moroccan house that gives you the classic taste of how the locals have been living for centuries. You can book this via Booking.com It’s very safe and the staff here is excellent. They helped me book a private guide to take me around. The receptionist also walked me to the main square at 7am and stayed with me till my Sahara Desert Tour Van picked me up. The breakfast was delicious and the room was beautifully decorated and spacious.

Content: Bahia Palace is one of Marrakech’s well-preserved historic sites built in the 19th century. Bahia means ‘Radiance’ or ‘Brilliance’ in Arabic and brilliant it is. The entrance to the Palace starts with a green courtyard comprising of lush trees and beautiful sculpting on the walls and pillars. One of the most impressive aspects of the Palace is its huge wooden doors. The wooden doors accompanied by the windows are built in a typical antique style, decorated with golden hinges, beautiful embroidery, and patterns depicting the grandeur of the ancient royalty of Morocco.

Content: Another magnificent palace in Marrakech is the El Badii Palace. Only a 15-min walk from Bahia Palace and 10 mins from the Jemaa-el Fna Square, this 16th-century architecture was once considered as one of the most beautiful wonders of the world and is in ruins today. But this did not diminish its grandeur and presently the palace is known as a historic site among the locals and tourists.

Content: The Jemma el-Fna, along with excellent shopping options, has amazing street food as well. There are many cafes and small dining spots just outside the souks. I had delicious Chicken Tagine and Moroccan salad just outside a small eating space right next to Cafe France. Cafe France is another great spot for food with a view.

Be sure to check out the Argan Oil stores as the hospitality there is stellar. The shopkeeper and his family served me Moroccan mint tea and dates as a thank you for purchasing their products . I even learnt how to make some.
