Day 1 - 10 Nov 2019
Content: We came to one of our favorite cities, Marrakech🌜 we’ve been 3 times already and can’t wait to come back! We arrived to the airport around 10 am and booked a taxi to our Riad
Content: After 30-40 minutes we arrived to Riad Dar Ten where we spend a couple of nights. It was a lovely common area and a pool where we relaxed for a couple of hours before heading to the old town
Content: Spend a full day exploring the colorful streets of Marrakech. It’s one of the most evocative cities in the world and a complete assault on your senses. Walk around the Souqs and stop for a quick bite at Café Des Epices, I’d recommend you the juices and the vegetarian sandwiches (If you are vegan order it without butter) really tasty! After lunch you can explore the little square and stop in the famous spice shop that you may recognize from instagram. That’s where we bought our spices.
Day 2 - 11 Nov 2019
Content: After having breakfast in your riad and lay by the pool you are ready to explore the city. Start your day visiting Palais de la Bahia (Open 9-5pm), beautiful palace with stunning decorations, perfect place for photographers.
Content: A few minutes away you will find a vegetarian restaurant called La Famille, it is one of the most famous ones in the city so you may need to queue to get a table and go early, but it is worth it. Not as many vegan options as I thought but it was really good
Day 2 - 11 Nov 2019
Content: Every time I visit Marrakech I love spending some time in La Mamounia and Royal Mansour. They are 5 star hotels and if you cant afford staying there, I really recommend visit them for a couple of hours, as they look like little villages with huge gardens. You may even find celebrities here!
Day 3 - 12 Nov 2019
Content: On your third day you could organize a day trip to another city. We booked our trips at our riads, but you will find many offers in every shop. Essaouira is about a 2-3 hour drive from Marrakech and you’ll be on the Atlantic coast and the quaint fishing harbour of Essaouira. You’ll take a little longer because you’ll stop a few times along the way. I mean, could you really drive past a tree decorated in goats? These goats dine on the Argan trees growing in this region and it’s remarkable just how agile they are. Keep an eye out for the tortoises crossing the road too! You can also pick up some Argan Oil from some of the road side sellers along the way.
Day 4 - 13 Nov 2019
Content: After breakfast, take a taxi to the Jardin Majorelle and make sure you arrive at the time of the opening. It is a beautful place but it gets very busy with tourists. Price is around 11€ per person
Day 4 - 13 Nov 2019
Content: For lunch you can stop at my favorite restaurant, NOMAD. It is always booked, we usually go the first day and book a table for the days we want to go there. The terrace is beautiful and very well decorated. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Don't forget to try their avocado and date smoothie, it is so refreshing!
Day 4 - 13 Nov 2019
Content: In the evening we went to Four Seasons for a few hours to relax They offer day passes to the pool and their spa ☁️ It was very relaxing, we enjoyed the pool only for adults!
Day 5 - 14 Nov 2019
Content: We organized two other trips to Ouarzazate and Ourika Valley, you can also spend two days in the desert. We booked them at our riad, they are usually 20-30$ per person. Just make sure they will take you on a 4x4 as the roads are not that good. During the trip they took us to a local restaurant along the way where we had veggie cous cous
Day 6 - 15 Nov 2019
Content: We spent two nights at this hotel. Each couple gets a personalized African inspired villa by the pool. On your last day you can visit the palaces and walk around. Some places you can visit are Tumbas saadíes, Badi Palace, Yves Saint Laurent Museum and Ben Youssef Mosque (Make sure it is open before you go, it's under construction for two years), Museum of mouassine Douiria Derb el Hammam or the Marrakech Museum.
Day 6 - 15 Nov 2019
Content: La sultana invited us for lunch and spend the day at their beautiful hotel. we will always remember it as the best vegan food we’ve ever tried. Tip: next to it you will find las tumbas de las sardinas
Day 6 - 15 Nov 2019
Content: We went to Royal Mansour hotel to take some photos as it has an amazing architecture. You may find some celebrities here, as it’s one of the places where they usually stay Tip: this photo was taking at their spa
Content: Riad berbere invited us for tea at their roof terrace and spent a few hours playing with their cat 🐱
Day 6 - 15 Nov 2019
Content: Atay café rooftop is our favorite place to watch sunset and it has the best view Marrakech can offer. If you ever come here we highly recommend coming at least once, it won’t disappoint you.
Day 6 - 15 Nov 2019
