Content: I arrived in Marrakech, and I took a taxi to my hotel, which was located inside the medina.
Day 1 - 9 Sep 2018
Content: While in Marrakech, you should definitely book a traditional riad as your accommodation. My choice was Rodamón Riad Marrakech. They offer private rooms as well as dorms if you are traveling on a budget. They have a beautiful rooftop terrace and a swimming pool. I could not have asked for a better place to stay!

Day 3 - 11 Sep 2018
Content: I took a bus from Marrakech to Agadir and then from there continued straight to Tamraght.
Day 3 - 11 Sep 2018
Content: Tamraght is a small but fast-developing surf town, and I ended up living there for three months. It’s the perfect place if you want to learn how to surf as the town offers lots of surf camps. Yoga is also popular here, and usually, all of the surf camps also offer yoga classes. I highly recommend staying for at least a week so that you have time to learn how to surf and do other activities as well.
Content: The best surf camp, in my opinion, is Azrac Surf and I stayed there as well. They offer accommodation, home-cooked Moroccan meals, surf and yoga classes, and also other activities.
Content: I had lunch at Let’s be cafe, a health food restaurant offering delicious and Instagrammable dishes.
Content: I spent an afternoon walking around the town and the beach. I went to this small cafe by the beach and enjoyed some Moroccan mint tea for the sunset.
Content: Azrac Surf offers dinner for their guests, and a local woman cooks the meals so that you will get delicious home-cooked meals every day. The vegan options were also always delicious.
Day 4 - 12 Sep 2018
Content: I woke up early to do a sunrise hike. You can hike up to the small mountains surrounding Tamraght and get beautiful sunrise views.
Content: After the hike, I went to get an avocado drink at this cool cafe called Babakoul.
Content: I spent the afternoon surfing, which is what most people come to do in Tamraght.
Content: I got some delicious food from Let’s Be restaurant again. The food there is so good that I could travel back to Morocco just to eat there again!
Content: I visited a local hammam. Experiencing a local hammam is a must in Morocco. The people working there wash you, exfoliate you, give you a mud mask and wash your hair. An excellent way to relax after a day of surfing!
Day 5 - 13 Sep 2018
Content: Today I made a day trip to Paradise Valley with Azrac Surf. On the way there, we stopped at a women’s argan oil co-op. They sell argan oil and other locally produced cosmetic products. After this, we made another stop on the way to buy some souvenirs from a charming ceramic shop and admire the beautiful views.
Day 5 - 13 Sep 2018
Content: Paradise Valley is a beautiful place, nestled between rocky cliffs, with natural pools & small waterfalls. This is a place where locals come to swim.
Day 5 - 13 Sep 2018
Content: I got back to Tamraght just in time to watch the sunset from a rooftop terrace.
Day 6 - 14 Sep 2018
Content: I took a bus from Tamraght to Essaouira. Essaouira, also called the Wind City, is an old port city, but nowadays known more as a hippie surfer city of Morocco. It’s an excellent place to learn about the Gnaoua culture, buy art and other souvenirs.
Content: I stayed at Riad Jade Mogador - a traditional Moroccan-styled hotel with a lovely rooftop.
Content: I spent most of the day just walking around the city, visiting different shops, petting all of the cats, and of course, a walk along the city walls is a must.
Content: I had lunch at Shyadma’s Vegan Food restaurant, where I also had this cute cat accompanying me by sitting on to my lap. Amazing to find a fully vegan restaurant in Morocco, but Essaouira being the hippie city of the country, actually offers great vegan and vegetarian options. In this same area, there were a couple of other vegetarian restaurants as well.
Content: I went back to my hotel to watch the sunset from the hotel’s rooftop. The views were incredible!
Content: For dinner, I went to a restaurant called Triskala. This restaurant is a must-visit in Essaouira. Beautiful setting and delicious food, also great vegan options. I recommend making a reservation, because the restaurant is usually full!
Day 7 - 15 Sep 2018
Content: I continued my trip to Casablanca. The bus ride was quite long and took most of the day. I arrived in Casablanca in the evening and checked into my hotel Minjo Appart. I chose the hotel because it was cheap, located close to the famous Hassan II Mosque, and it had a rooftop where you could take pictures of the mosque.
Content: For dinner, I went to this vegetarian restaurant called Veggie, where I had a delicious vegan burger.
Day 8 - 16 Sep 2018
Content: The first thing I did in the morning was visit The Hassan II Mosque. This was the reason why I had come to Casablanca in the first place. It's an impressive mosque and the second largest functioning mosque in Africa.
Content: I had lunch at this health food restaurant in Casablanca: Bondi Coffee Kitchen. They offer great vegan options too.
Day 8 - 16 Sep 2018

Content: For lunch, I went to Dar Naji Rabat Hassan - a traditional Moroccan restaurant.
Day 9 - 17 Sep 2018

Day 9 - 17 Sep 2018
Content: For the sunset, I went to the Andalusian Gardens, which was one of my favorite spots in the city - mainly because they had lots of cats there. The best thing that happened was when some people came to feed the cats!
