Day 1 - 1 Dec 2021
Content: Hello Capetown! The easiest way from the Airport to Capetown is to get an Uber. Otherwise it's also possible to prebook a transfer. We always used an Uber, it works well even at night.
Content: We arrived in Capetown very late the night before so we started our first day with a walk around the area. The area around Seapoint is great to live and the Promenade is amazing for a nice walk.
Content: My favourite beaches in Capetown are 100% the Clifton beaches! The water is so blue, the sand is white and the hills in the background are just so beautiful. The best is: You can reach it very fast and cheap with an uber. Depending on the area you live you can maybe even walk. The cliften beaches are divided into 4 parts, my fav. part is beach no. 3 because it's smaller and less crowded.
Content: The victoria wharf shopping mall in the waterfront area is such a nice place for shopping. It's a beautiful shopping mall with a great and cheap parking. Outside of the mall we walked around, there are many shops and restaurants and boat trips you can do around the waterfront.
Content: For lunch we went to this very nice food court at the waterfront. They have so many great and different food options!
Content: I'm sure you heard about cape wheel when you planned a trip to South Africa! It's right next to the Victoria Wharf shopping center.
Content: Sunset at Signal hill! Signal hill is a famous sunset spot near the city center. When you are too lazy (like us :D) to hike lions head for sunset this is a great option. You can drive all the way up by car or uber. Or even when you walk it's not a long way!
Day 2 - 2 Dec 2021
Content: Start your day right with an delicious and healthy acai bowl! Capetown has sooo many amazing healthy and vegan food options. We went here many times for breakfast
Content: The next day we rented a car to explore Cape of good hope nationalpark. The first spot we passed on our way was Muizenberg beach! It looks beautiful and is famous for the colourful beach houses. I heard it's a great spot for surfing too!
Content: Cape of good hope is such a great place to visit. I think everyone knows this sign and has the dream to visit this place someday! It was such a great feeling to be there. There are a lot of different hiking trails you can walk.
Content: Then we visitet Noordhoek beach. It's an endless beautiful beach! But we heard that it can be dangerous when you walk too far away when you're alone. So better be careful there!
Content: Our next stop on this trip was the Chapmans peak drive. It's a beautiful coastal road which you drive in your own car. You can stop on almost every corner and enjoy the beautiful views.
Content: When we arrived back in Capetown we also made a stop at Camps bay beach. This beach and it's promenade with many cafes, hotels and bars is very famous! It's a very nice area to walk around and enjoy life. Even though it's an expensive place.
Day 3 - 3 Dec 2021
Content: We made a 1 night trip to the beautiful wineland area of Stellenbosch and Paarl, which is around 1 hour outside of Capetown. We stayed at beautiful African leisure hotel which I would highly recommend!
Day 3 - 3 Dec 2021
Content: We went to a really nice Alapaka farm where you can buy food for 1$ and entry for 1$ and then you can feed the cute Alpakas and play with them. We had so much fun! You can also book a tour there. And they have a cafe with really amazing coffee!
Day 3 - 3 Dec 2021
Content: After enjoying Stellenbosch and Paarl we drove to Kogel bay, which is 1-1.5h away. There's a beautiful beach and a cave which you can enter when it's low tide. But be careful, there are many baboons! It's better to not have any food around you.
Day 3 - 3 Dec 2021
Content: Back in Capetown we had dinner at the Lawn's! This restaurant has one of the best views I ever had for a dinner date.
Day 4 - 4 Dec 2021
Content: Weekend means food market time! Capetown has so many amazing foodmarkets, usually they are only open on weekends. We absolutely loved the farmers market! There's not only food but also clothes and nice other stuff.
Content: We drove with our rental car to Boulders beach! You've probably heard about this penguin beach around Capetown. The penguins are soo cute, it's such a cool experience. I would recommend to come at low tide, then you have better access to the beach. But it's not only great for the penguins, even the beach is so beautiful that it's worth to come.
Content: We also visited this cool place called Maiden's cove. It's in Camps bay and has a nice braai area!
Content: We went to Sunset rock twice, one time during the day and another time for sunset. It's one of the best views over the Clifton beaches for sunset and for some nice photos. I can highly recommend it, it's still kind of a "secret tip" and usually there are not so many people around.
Day 5 - 5 Dec 2021
Content: This foodmarket is located in Woodstock, another area of Capetown. They have even more food options than the farmers market and also live music! It's a very nice vibe there and we absolutely loved it.
Content: This beach has an amazing view of Table mountain! It's around 20-30min by car from Capetown city center and so many miles long. We went to a part called "Dolphin beach". It's usually very windy there that's why it's also a great spot for kitesurfers.
Day 5 - 5 Dec 2021
Content: 1.5h by car from Capetown you can find the Westcoast nationalpark. It's such a beautiful area and we enjoyed beeing on the beach so much! There are also some hikes you can do and in different seasons you can find there a lot of beautiful flowers.
Day 5 - 5 Dec 2021
Content: Llandudno is a beautiful beach near Capetown. We went there for sunset and it was really nice! But you have to be careful because there are not many parking areas. We parked where many others did and we all got a ticket. :D
Day 6 - 6 Dec 2021
Content: We went by car to Franchhoek to go on a wine tasting tour! You can acutally also go by car to the different winerys, but we chose to do it with the wine tram. It was such a fun experience! You can choose between different routes and then go to the different winerys to do a tasting at each winery.
Content: This day was absolutely amazing! It's not only about the drinking, you can also stop for food at the winerys. They have for example great cheese plattern there as well! The winerys are also so beautiful, that it's really nice to just walk around there. I can highly recommend such a wine tasting tour around Capetown!
Day 7 - 7 Dec 2021
Content: Kloof corner is actually the hiking trail for Table mountain. We only went there for some nice photos of the lions head. This place is in the beginning of the hiking trail. I think the hike takes around 3-4 hours.
Content: We then took the Cable car to go up to famous Table mountain! It took us around 1 hour waiting to get inside the car. When you reach the top there are different trails around. We walked around a bit and took some nice photos. Luckily it wasn't cloudy so we had a great view!
Content: Mojo market is a really nice food court in seapoint. We already ate there a few times and we really loved it!
Content: We went to Kirstenbosch botanical gardens to watch a movie in a cool open air cinema! It was a really nice experience, we even got blankets and seats and we did buy food there. The botanical gardens are also woth a visit during the day!
