Content: For me, the real pearl of this city was the beautiful, historic medina. Hammamet has been a fishing village for years, according to various sources, the medina has been enchanting its art and architecture since the 14th / 15th century. Do you see drawings of fish on the walls and doors? They are made to protect the house and its residents against evil eyes of jealous and envious people. Traditionally, this is the function of the prophet’s eye, but due to the fisherman’s history of the city, it was exchanged for a beautiful, blue fish. I must tell you that the medina in Hammamet is one of the more atmospheric and beautiful I have seen. In addition to relaxing on the beach, it’s worth taking a walk along its streets.

They came looking for inspiration, but many of them stayed for longer. Even now, walking the streets, we can meet dozens of young painters sketching at every corner. A wonderful place to get inspired by the beauty of nature, history and architecture. Certainly next on my list “when I’ll write a book, I will live there for some time”.
