Content: We arrived early in the morning in Dubai and took a taxi to go to our hotel, located 30 minutes away from the airport.

Content: We chose to stay at Dukes the Palm, a five-star hotel on the Palm. The night costed around 250€ per room, and breakfast was included in the rate.

Content: After a nap, we were ready to discover Dubai! And we started by going at the top of tallest building in the world: the Burj Khalifa. I bought the tickets on GetYourGuide, and as we wanted to go during the sunset, it was more expensive. One ticket costed 39.50€.
Content: After having watched the sunset from the Burj Khalifa, we took the elevator back down and arrived just on time to watch the Dubai Mall fountains spectacle!

Content: I had seen this Indian restaurant on TripAdvisor and it appeared that it was located in our hotel! The Chef was amazing as we weren’t used to spicy food and he adapted his recipes for us.

Content: The main reason for our trip to Dubai was to visit the Expo 2020 taking place from October 1st (2021) to March 31st 2022.

Content: Dubai is not all about luxury, influencers or beach clubs. We wanted to discover a more authentic side of the city, so we went to Bur Dubai and Deira (considered as the Old Dubai). We crossed the river thanks to an Abra (traditional boat), it costs only 1 AED (0.25€) to do so!

Content: I kind of liked the atmosphere that was very different from Downtown Dubai.

Content: The Gold Souq is well renowned in the world. It’s quite impressive to walk through it, even though we didn’t buy anything!

Content: The souks made me think of my trips in Tunis or Marrakech, but the vendors were not agressive or insistent at all.

Content: We crossed again the river with an Abra and walked around Bur Dubai, we’ve seen so many beautiful mosques!

Content: We ended our day at the hotel’s beach that offers a wonderful view on the Dubai Marina and Ain Dubai 🎡

Content: This day, we had lunch at the beach club of the hotel. I loved the deco and the vibes!

Content: I booked a safari in Dubai’s Desert with the agency « Mes vacances à Dubaï » and it costed 52€ per person, for a 7-hour long safari at sunset with dinner. It was the first time I saw sand dunes and it was so beautiful!

Content: The dinner in a camp was included in the price of the safari, but I didn’t like it. We were hundreds of people in the same place and it felt very touristic.

Content: I really recommend to go this place! It’s really pretty, you can do some shopping in the « souk », and even take an Abra ride on the artificial rivers overlooking on the Burj Al Arab.

Content: Jumeirah Beach is a public beach quite close to the famous hotel Burj Al Arab.

Content: For our last evening, we went to The Pointe, which is a nice area with restaurants, shops, a fountain spectacle and a view on the Atlantis!

Content: After five days, it was already time to day goodbye to Dubai! I’m glad to have discovered this city from my own eyes ❤️
