Content: Arriving in Yerevan! I arrived by train because I came with the direct night train from Georgia. It is a short metro ride to the center. In the center, I was able to get an Armenian SIM Card and directly activate it to find my hotel. Kind people helped me to find a cafe with internet to find the sim card store. Armenians are amazing!
Content: After checking in I immediately started my tour in the city. Must dos are the Cascade Complex with beautiful views of Mount Ararat, Vernissage open air market for handmade products and souvenirs, national theater...
Content: My next stop was the ancient Kond neighborhood of Yerevan. You have to go through some stairs inside a building and then you will reach it. It is really interesting, it was really calm and quiet, you could hear the televisions of the inhabitants.

Content: In the afternoon I visited the Blue Mosque of Yerevan, very calm place, it was almost empty. It was located very close to my next stop...
Content: I ended my walk in the Cascade Complex, this time I used the escalators and did not climb everything on foot hehe amazing sunset views were my reward!

Content: The next day was a long daytrip to Khor Virap, Noravank and Jermuk! This is the narrow stairs of the pit where St Gregory was kept in Khor Virap, you must try it

Content: We went to Garni Temple, the last standing Pagan temple in Armenia. The legend says that the daughter of the king liked this temple so much that he decided to spare it from destruction when Armenia adopted Christianity.
Content: Do you know Armenia was the first country ever to adopt Christianity officially ? This is why it is so interesting to find a pagan temple here.

Content: When visiting Garni you should make a stop in Geghard monastery. It has this beautiful room in the second floor with amazing acoustics, people sometimes go there to sing.

Content: We were able to witness how lavash bread is made. Very tasty and delicious. We ate with cheese and vegetables. This was a healthy lunch .
Content: Got the best haircut of my life for the equivalent of 8 euro, I still cant believe it! Washing, drying, styling. Top service, kind hairdresser who spoke English. This was recommended to me by my friend who lived in Yerevan. Please support this business. You can find them on social media if you wish to make an appointment, I was lucky that I just arrived there and they had time for me.
Content: The light show at the Republic Square is a must during your trip to Yerevan! It starts at around 8PM and lasts for one to two hours. You should not miss it.
Content: Another great experience: had this amazing dinner at Sherep Restaurant for the equivalent of 22 euro. Cocktail, coca cola, bread and all the dishes I'm posting here. Top service, great ambience.
Content: Traditional dish called Ghapama, so good! There is even a song about it please search for it it will stay in your head.

Content: Another daytrip! This time to the largest lake of the Caucasus. Sevan Lake! Amazing. In the summer I recommend going to the lake, it is the refreshment of the citizens of Yerevan. In autumn it was kinda cold, it is in a high altitude. Please take warm clothing.

Content: Haghartsin monastery is amazing. It has a cut tree chunk and you have to go through its hole and think of a wish and it will come true.

Content: Dilijan is a calm old town in Armenia, different architecture from Yerevan. Kinda touristy.

Content: Last day in Yerevan. Had amazing lunch in Lavash restaurant. For me the nraneh soup is the best, one of the best dishes I had in my life
