Day 1 - 13 Oct 2021
Content: AERCAR has good deals on rental cars. We didn’t need anything big for this trip, just a 4-door sedan. Ok
Day 1 - 13 Oct 2021
Content: We just needed a place for one night with breakfast near the Paphos ruins and this hotel fit the bill. After we arrived we walked down the street to a Greek restaurant and had a nice dinner.
Day 2 - 14 Oct 2021
Content: Paphos is famous for some ancient ruins and we explored those in the morning.
Content: Make sure you wear a hat and sunscreen. We went in the middle of October and it was still very hot in the sun.
Content: You do need to buy an entrance ticket to the ruins but it is inexpensive.
Content: After the ruins we walked out to the lighthouse and visited the harbor.
Content: Lots of colorful fishing boats in the harbor. There is also a fortress which we peeked into.
Day 2 - 14 Oct 2021

Day 2 - 14 Oct 2021
Content: We rented an AirBnb in Ayia Napa for the rest of our stay, 5 nights. It was a bit far from the center of town but very spacious, clean and comfortable. It is called Sunshine Luxury House. I would definitely recommend it. You will need a car to stay here though.

Day 4 - 16 Oct 2021

Day 4 - 16 Oct 2021
Content: The staff at Mike’s Watersports is friendly and competent. The boat was very nice and the rental price reasonable. We would go back again for sure.
Day 4 - 16 Oct 2021
Content: We drove here from Konnos Bay. There are signs to guide you to this lookout. What you can see is the demilitarized zone between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish controlled areas. Those high rises on the second photo are abandoned because they lie in a no-man’s-land.

Content: Watched the sunset at this lovely beach.
Content: We had dinner back in Ayia Napa at a Greek restaurant.
Day 5 - 17 Oct 2021
Content: We drove to Nicosia in the morning
Day 5 - 17 Oct 2021
Content: Walked around the Greek side first. Then we walked through the Lendra Street crossing to the Turkish controlled side. There is a border crossing and you will need to have your passport. At the time we also needed our Covid certificates. Probably not any more.
Content: On the Turkish side we walked around and visited this market place. They sell many hand made items.
Day 5 - 17 Oct 2021
Content: We spent probably an hour and a half on the Turkish controlled side. Bought some small souvenirs.
Content: We bought a whole lot of baklava here. Very tasty. Carried a big box back over the border to the Greek side where we showed it to the customs officers. It being only baklava we could enter no problem.
Day 5 - 17 Oct 2021
