Day 1 - 3 Sep 2019
Content: Our trip started with a 13 hours Asiana airlines flight from Los Angeles International Airport to Incheon International Airport. One of the best airport we have ever been to, ground staff was very helpful and public transport facility were easily available here.
Content: After security check we took a short walk and reached public transport terminal and boarded train to our hotel. Excellent location near to train station, rooms were on a smaller side, what we loved is the modern high-tech Japanese toilet here.
Content: Dropping off our luggage we went to restaurant located in the hotel itself. The food was delicious and service was great.
Day 2 - 4 Sep 2019
Content: After breakfast we checked-out of hotel and reached Seoul Station from where we boarded a 2 hour train to Jeonju. Keeping our luggage in a station locker room we headed towards Jeonju’s Hanok Village which is known for its traditional buildings. Saw some well preserved traditional houses and felt the blend of traditional culture and nature.
Day 2 - 4 Sep 2019
Content: Later exploring the Hanok village we returned back to station and took a train ride to Namwon. Where we visited a local Korean BBQ restaurant and had our lunch. Tried pork belly which was amazing and must try dish here.
Content: Gwanghallu Pavilion is known for its exemplary structures. It is the historic place with great scenery, good clean and well maintained place. It is kids friendly place.
Content: Taking an hour train ride from pavilion we checked-in to a hotel. It was nicely located in out skirts of Namwon, the rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy.
Day 3 - 5 Sep 2019
Content: With a delicious buffet breakfast we started our morning travelling towards our next destination Suncheon which is 1 hour train ride from Namwon. Here we checked in to a hotel, rooms were comfortable and cozy and the owner was kind and helpful.
Content: Dropping off our luggage we left for Boseong known for its green tea fields. We took a short hike in the tea fields and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Hike is steep and requires special skills, one can take a tea fields bus here.
Content: Returning back from tea fields had our lunch at a local hamburger restaurant. Shrimp burger was mind blowing and fries were good too.
Content: Taking bus ride we returned back to Suncheon and visited Suncheon bay where we had a short hike. Hike was average and easy, nothing interesting about it.
Day 4 - 6 Sep 2019
Content: Skipped the breakfast and with a short drive reached bus terminal from where we boarded a 3 hour bus to Busan and checked-in to the hotel. Well located near the beach, receptionist was welcoming and rooms were clean and comfortable.
Content: We took a subway that was near hotel and headed towards Gamcheon and walked around the streets of Gamcheon Culture Village. The village was colorful and stairs were steep. Quiet beautiful village loaded with artworks.
Content: While returning back to hotel we visited a Buddhist temple which is also known as sea side temple. Beautiful temple with spectacular ocean view, place was crowded.
Content: In the evening visited a Brazilian restaurant for our dinner. Skewered chicken, pork sausage was good in taste even though the menu didn’t had much options.
Day 5 - 7 Sep 2019
Content: After breakfast we were picked up from the hotel and took 2 hours drive to Gyeongju where we visited Bomun Lake which offered us beautiful lake side scenery, we took a walk around the lake and the trail was very well maintained.
Content: Later we visited Seokguram Grotto which is known for its artificial cave and stone sculptures. Visited Bulguksa temple and saw its beautiful wooden architecture. The Buddha in the cave is amazing and worth a visit.
Content: With an hour's drive headed towards our next destination which was Bulguksa which is a world heritage site and considered as a masterpiece of the golden age of Buddhist art. Quiet place with beautiful walk through and massive temple.
Content: Further we jumped back in to the bus and took a short drive towards our last destination for the day which was Anapji pond. Beautiful place loaded with history, and the reflections in pond is mesmerizing, visiting here while sunset is recommended for the best view.
Day 5 - 7 Sep 2019
Content: Returned back from Gyeongju and visited a Korean barbecue restaurant for dinner. Pork belly was very well marinated and the variety of sauce they offered were amazing,
Day 6 - 8 Sep 2019
Content: In the morning we got back into the train and took a 3 hour train ride to Seoul where we checked-in to the hotel. Located near to the train station, rooms were on a smaller side, what we loved is the modern high-tech Japanese toilet here but the bathroom seems to be like conjusted.
Content: Dropping off our luggage we took a short bus ride to Namsan Tower. It is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain. We hiked to the top and enjoyed breath taking view of Seoul from the top. Cable car facility is also available.
Content: While returning back to hotel we took a stop at a local restaurant for our dinner. Had Asian cuisine with a touch of Korean influences, the dishes where very good in taste and staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Day 7 - 9 Sep 2019
Content: Before heading towards airport we visited Trickeye Museum Seoul, it is a gallery which contains AR effects and 3d illusions. Innovative place, just need to download there app and click lot of 3d photos. It is bit costly.
Content: Took 1 hour train ride and we reached Incheon International Airport from where we boarded a 12 hour Air Korean flight to Los Angeles International Airport. Security check was quick and the crew on board was helpful.
