Content: 15 minutes by ferry and here I am in Taketomi Island, surrounded by red roofs, Shisha statues and water Buffalo that carry tourist around. Time to rent a bike to explore the small island 🚲
Content: Breathtaking beach with sand shaped like tiny starts. Strong tidal currents, so if you want to swim, walk a bit on the right side to find a perfect place!

Content: Open-air museum about the culture and traditions of Yaeyama Islands. But the highlight is the monkey forest, where you can play with wild small monkey 😍

Content: Catch a flight to Okinawa main island and let’s start the exploration of Naha, starting from Shuri Castle, even if at the moment is under reconstruction after burnt down a couple of years ago
Content: Found this soba restaurant on the street that looks like in an anime and decide to stop to eat some Okinawa Soba!
Content: The only shrine of Okinawa! (Shinto is not common in Okinawa). At the bottom there is a small but nice beach to swim and from the bridge is possible to take some nice photos!
Content: Nice and clean hotel in a great position (walking distance from beach, ferry terminal and monorail).

Content: 2 hours ferry and let’s go to explore Zamami Island today!
Content: Oh my gosh, I swim with turtles!! In Ama Beach in Okinawa, with high tide, sea turtle come very close to the beach and it’s possible to swim with them 😍😍
Content: There are many viewpoints around Zamami Island. Better rent a scooter to explore all…also bicycles are available, but it’s pretty hard for the up and down 😅

Content: The Churaumi Aquarium is into the Expo Park, a big area rich in activities and with a beach nearby. In the big Kuroshio Tank you can see also the giant sharks

Content: Let’s finish this trip swimming a little more in the nice beach near Cape Zanpa! This week around Okinawa Island was amazing, a real paradise! It’s different than rest of Japan and nature is so marvelous! It’s a kind of paradise on earth!!
