We reached the temple on time so that we joined the queue for special darshan directly. It was very shocking to know that people around us were waiting for more than 4 to 6 hours in the queue to collect tatkal tickets. Simultaneously some devotees waited for long hours for general darshan. After a point, all queues mixed up into a single hall. Devotees pushed ahead without proper security service. Outside foods were not allowed inside the temple. We were able to buy curd rice and tamarind rice inside the temple. We got only very few minutes for Lord Balaji darshan. Security guards pushed us ahead, so we got a glance of view idol for worship. For special darshan tickets, they offered 2 free ladoos from the counter. Each extra ladoos will cost extra rs.25. We had free meals, which is orphaned by the temple. We avoided unnecessary delays only because we booked our tickets in advance. Then we headed to Kanchipuram.
