Day 1 - 15 Jan 2019
Content: We reached Mumbai Airport; the journey was comfortable and safe. The airport was finished with artworks. The ceilings and floorings are well maintained. We find many options to eat and drink. We had some snacks and tea from the airport that was costly.
Content: We reached The Shalimar Hotel, which was booked in advance. We had dinner on the way to the hotel. The Shalimar Hotel is a three-star property, which is located in South Mumbai. The hotel staff welcomed us with a drink and they are very polite. The room was simple with enough space and furnished.
Day 2 - 16 Jan 2019
Content: We started our day with a well-made breakfast. The dining area in the hotel offered a lot of varieties with Indian, Chinese, and Continental cuisine. The food was good and perfect to start a day. We headed to explore Mumbai city. The city was formerly recognised as Bombay. The city is also known as the capital city of dreams.The more you know the city, the more you fall in love with it, that's the magic of Mumbai. The entire day was to cover the best tourist spots in the city. We planned for a relaxed trip, so that spend enough time in Mumbai to visit major attractions.
Content: Our first destination was an Islamic mosque and a tomb of a saint. It is located at the heart of the city and an important landmark in Mumbai. We saw people from all parts of the world without any restrictions offered their prayers for the fulfilment of their wishes. The tomb was located on an island near the Worli coast.
Content: On the way to Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir, we stopped at a Jain temple for a quick visit. The Siddhivinayak Mandir is one of the wealthiest temples in the country. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The doors are wooden and carved with the image of Ashtavinayak. It is the most popular temple in Mumbai city. We had lunch from Hotel Aaswad and headed to the next destination.
Content: Our next destination was Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum located on Laburnam Road. The museum stored the memory of Mahatma Gandhi with lots of things and articles used by Gandhi himself. The surroundings were covered with lush green trees. It was a two-floored building with a photo gallery and Gandhi's spinning wheel and personal belongings.
Content: Colaba Causeway is a perfect spot for shopping as well as for street foods. It is typically a commercial street that sits between Colaba and Old Woman’s Island. Some shops are shut at night but some shops continue. The street vendors sell some stuff that can be bargained for to a great extent. We had some light dinner from Bade Miyan, which is famous in the city. The day was so busy, our driver dropped us back to hotel.
Day 3 - 17 Jan 2019
Content: After breakfast, we set the day only for some places. The hotel front desk arranged a cab for major attractions of Mumbai city.
Content: Our first destination was a museum that was formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum of Western India. It is one of the premier art and history museums in India, which is loaded with many antique documents and objects. We saw some craft items from countries like China that were preserved here. There is an old map of Bombay which tells about the history. It was a perfect destination for history lovers.
Content: We had lunch at The Table hotel. The ambience and location of the hotel make it a great place for lunch. We tried onion soup and boneless chicken wings, which was unique in taste. The staffs were very polite and friendly. They serve food quickly and the food was so fresh.
Content: The Gateway of India is the entrance point of India from the seaways and a great historical monument built during British rule. We enjoyed the view and saw the local vendors trying to sell their stuff. We walked towards the Colaba Causeway Market, Walkeshwar Temple, or the Nehru Science Centre, all of which are nearby.
Content: Our next destination was Hanging Garden, located at the top of Malabar Hill, in South Mumbai. We saw animal figures around the park. Many local people spend evening roaming around the park. The garden also consists of beautiful fountains that look great in the evening because of the lights within the water fountains. From the garden, we could able to saw an amazing view of Marine Drive.
Content: We returned to hotel and had buffet dinner from the hotel restaurant. The food was good but options are less.
Day 4 - 18 Jan 2019
Content: Today morning we went to experience the morning life of Dabbawalas and Dhobis. We got an expert guide for a 3-hour tour to meet dabbawalas and Dhobis. The word dabbawala implies "box-carrier"- that is a person in Mumbai who carries and delivers freshly made food to office working people. The dhobis are Mumbai's traditional laundrymen.
Content: Our guide picked up from the hotel. We headed towards the Churchgate Railway Station, the starting point of our trip. We saw many dabbawalas landed their boxes from the local train. Then we moved to the platform to board a local train to Mahalaxmi Railway Station. We observed dabbawalas and our guide told us about the alphanumeric color-coding system. We saw the boxes are driven by 4 or 5 dabbawalas in different locations for delivery by bicycle.
Content: We proceeded to Dhobi Ghats by a walk with our guide. It is an open-air laundry area, where Dhobis collects dirty clothes, washes them in an open space, and then returns to doorsteps. Dhobis are traditional laundrymen and the massive area they used to wash is Ghat. This was their hereditary occupation, we saw many Dhobis working with their family. The car picked us from the hotel waited for us at Dhobi Ghats. They dropped back our hotel.
Content: After lunch, we check out from the hotel and proceed towards Mumbai airport to board the flight for Goa.
Day 4 - 18 Jan 2019
Content: We reached Goa Airport and rented a car to a prebooked hotel. Goa is a small sate in India but a perfect holiday destination for solo travelers as well as for couples. It is an ideal place for celebration along the shore of the Arabian Sea.

Content: We reached Vedatmana Boa Ventura, which was set near to the airport. It is a three-star property for its ambience and service. The rooms were good and simple. As per our request, they arranged food at the room itself.
Day 5 - 19 Jan 2019
Content: We had breakfast at the hotel. We rented a private car and headed to explore North Goa. We planned for a short relaxed trip but we needed to travel a little bit longer as we chose a hotel near to the airport.
Content: Our first stop was at Reis Mogos Fort, which was the oldest fort in Goa located on the banks of River Bardez. It is not a famous tourist attraction of Goa but the only fort in entire Goa that has been completely replaced its past fame and beauty. The place evidenced some of the greatest events in the history of Goa.
Content: Our next stop was Aguada Fort, which is the perfect spot for its magnificent architecture as well as the amazing views of the Arabian Sea. The fort holds a lot of attraction for visitors such as The Lighthouse, Church of St. Lawrence, The ammunition room, etc. The Lighthouse is the oldest one of this kind, we climbed up to view the Arabian Sea. The fort has served as the location for various Bollywood films like Golmaal and Singham.
Content: We headed towards Cocoa Beach, which is at the mouth of the Nerul River. It is a family-friendly destination with the perfect combination of sun, sea, and space to explore. It is a house to the local fishing community. We saw many restaurants and pubs on the shore of the beach. We enjoyed our lunch along with the beautiful sea view. We saw a shopping bazaar that sells cheaper local made items and garments.
Content: We stopped at Anjuna Beach, which is popular for Wednesday Flea Market and crazy trance parties. We saw the rocky part in the middle of the beach which is the location for the famous Anjuna Flea Market every Wednesday. We saw many domestic tourists enjoying themselves with their family and friends. We took many fascinating photos. We enjoyed the night party and dinner there. It was an unforgettable experience.
Content: We returned to hotel. We ordered refreshing juice from the restaurant and had comfortable sleep.
Day 6 - 20 Jan 2019
Content: This day we covered some spiritual places in Goa. After a simple breakfast, we headed towards our first destination Bom Jesus of Basilica. It was one of the impressive churches in Goa. The church holds the body of Saint Francis Xavier. It was kept at the top of a silver casket. We visited the Bom Jesus Basilica Art Gallery that is the largest art gallery in Asia. It is located in front of the tomb equipped with books and paintings.
Content: Our next destination was near to Bom Jesus of Basilica. Se Cathedral is dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria. It is famous for "Golden Bell", it is a giant bell known for its melody and rich tone. The church was constructed in typical Portuguese style.
Content: We headed to Mangeshi Village to visit Shri Mangueshi Temple. The complex has a large courtyard and rooms for weddings and pilgrims. The temple was dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the temple, we saw Nandi Bull which is considered to be the Vahana (Vehicle) of Shiva. We saw a beautiful seven-storey deepstambha (lamp tower), stands at the gate of the temple.
Content: Our next destination was a very popular tourist attraction and one of the most spectacular monuments in Goa. The St. Augustine Church was considered to be one of the greatest of three Augustinian churches.
Content: We were very excited about River Cruise - Mandovi River. We booked our tickets in advance. The evening is the best time to feel the thrill of Cruise. We enjoyed DJ music and live performances. They offered a welcome drink and plated snacks. We enjoyed a buffet dinner along with the Panaji sightseeing from the river. After dinner, we returned to the hotel.
Day 7 - 21 Jan 2019
Content: After breakfast, we headed to India's highest waterfalls, Dudhsagar waterfalls. It is located in the southern part of Goa. It took about 3 hours to reach the place. Our driver dropped us at the drop-off point from there we hired a jeep to reach waterfalls. We trekked down from the tracks into the forest of the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. We reached the bottom tier of the falls through the forest. On the way to the bottom, we spotted mammals like barking deer and wild dogs. We spotted various vibrant species of birds like dove, bluebirds too.
Content: Our driver dropped us at the hotel. Today was the very busiest day for us. We went for a long drive to see the magic place of Goa. We left the remaining day for rest.
Day 8 - 22 Jan 2019
Content: We checked out the hotel and headed towards Goa Airport to catch a flight to home town. We wished to visit once again.
