Day 1 - 4 Sep 2021
Content: When you fly to Cappadocia you usually arrive at Kayseri. Even in the middle of the night there are shuttlebusses going to Cappadocia/Göreme. You only have to prebook in advance. We arrived around 3am at the airport and about 1 hour later we arrived in our beautiful cave hotel in Göreme. We only slept an hour to be ready on the rooftop for sunrise at 5:30am. The hotel rooftop is the perfect place to watch the balloons and the sunrise! They even prepared a nice breakfast photo spot for everyone.
Content: We had lunch at this amazing restaurant. A lot of people recommended this place to us and we loved it. You have a nice view from the rooftop and the food is great! It's also a nice dinner spot.
Day 1 - 4 Sep 2021
Content: In the afternoon/evening we went for a walk around the beautiful town of Göreme. There are so many cute places to explore and they have amazing restaurants and shops everywhere! Many of the buildings are like caves which is really cool.
Day 2 - 5 Sep 2021
Content: The next morning we were picked up very early for our hot air balloon flight. It was such an amazing experience! We flew over Cappadocia for 1.5 hours for sunrise. The tours can be booked in the hotel or online or in one of the shops. So it's very easy and they are also affordable! Tip: Wear warm clothes, even in summer it's very cold that early in the morning!
Day 2 - 5 Sep 2021
Content: After the balloon flight we had breakfast at our beautiful hotel. It was a buffet with amazing food which is also served on the rooftop. We enjoyed it in the sun with this amazing view over Cappadocia!
Content: For sunset we hiked up the sunset hill in Göreme city. It's an easy hike of maybe 10-15min and you have a beautiful view for sunset above the town of Göreme. We did it twice, one time for sunset and one time after sunset, because at night it looks incredible as well.
Day 3 - 6 Sep 2021
Content: For the next days we changed our hotel (because we couldn't decide which one we should stay when we were booking our trip :D) and it was also just beautiful! They have breakfast included as well and a nice pool area! And the best: they also have a nice rooftop terrace from where yo can watch the sunrise and the balloon. The most of the time we were there even alone! Such an amazing experience.
Day 3 - 6 Sep 2021
Content: The next day we rented a car and visited the underground city of Kaymakli, which was very impressive! You can walk through the underground tunnels and the different rooms there. It's hard to believe that people still lived there some time ago!

Content: We had lunch at this nice local imbiss! It's right next to the underground city and crazy cheap and authentic. We paid around 5€ for both of us together including drinks!
Content: We also visited Love Valley, which is a very cool place with a crazy landscape! You can just enjoy the view or also go hiking there.
Content: Another spot to visit around Cappadocia! This area has so many amazing valleys with great views.
Content: The most famous sunset place in Cappadocia is Red valley! So we had to check this spot out! It's very beautiful, you can just sit somewhere and enjoy the sunset or there's also a place which sells food and drinks.
Day 4 - 7 Sep 2021
Content: In the morning we watched like a every morning the sunrise from our beautiful hotel terrace. After this we always made a nap for 1 hour to warm us up and then we had breakfast on the terrace which was sooo delicious! Since this trip I honestly miss Turkish breakfast every single day in my life and I want to go back sooo badly!

Content: We drove to a town nearby which is called Uchisar. They have a castle which is sooo cool! You can explore the castle and walk til the top to have an amazing view over Cappadocia!! As far as I know you can also book a tour to Uchisar castle or go there with public transport.

Content: There's also a "museum" in Göreme where you can experience the typical Cappadocian architecture.

Day 5 - 8 Sep 2021
Content: The last day we had an amazing last sunrise and breakfast again at our hotel. Then we went with the shuttle bus to Kayseri airport. You can prebook the shuttle online or in your hotel and they are well organised and on time!

Content: Let's explore Istanbul! The perfect way to start the day in Istanbul is Turkish breakfast! The best Turkish breakfast spot around Taksim is this one. In Istanbul you can watch people sitting in restaurants eating turkish breakfast the whole day, even for lunch and dinner! Then it was time to explore the oldtown.

Content: Our first stop on our way to the oldtown was the Galata bridge. It's so cool to watch the fishermen and the boats. You'll walk over the bridge if you live in Taksim lr Beyoglu and walk to the old town.

Content: Nearby you can find the famous Mosque "Hagia Sophia". Around the mosques are nice parks where you can walk around. The blue mosque is another famous mosque nearby you can visit.
Content: Another must do in Istanbul oldtown is the grand bazaar! Here you can find a lot of different things zo buy. The bazaar is also very famous for the lantern shops! We were walking around a long time because there was so much to see. It can be very crowded.
Content: If you're looking for one of these instagrammable rooftop resraurant with an amazing view over Istanbul this is the place to be! Nova santiye cafe is a great place for this and also very affordable.
Day 7 - 10 Sep 2021
Content: In Karaköy you find a lot of different boat tours and ferrys which can bring you to Kadiköy. We did and we absolutely loved it! Kadiköy is my new favourite part of Istanbul. It's very modern and affordable and you find a lot of nice shops and fancy restaurants around there. It's a perfect place to spend a day and walk around Istanbul.
Day 7 - 10 Sep 2021
Content: As you might know the city of Istanbul is divided into the Asian and the European part. While the old town and also the Taksim area are part of Europe, Kadiköy is located on the other side of the water and part of Asia!
Content: We had a lunch break at this nice cafe.

Content: When we came back we loved it to walk around the harbour of Karaköy. You'll always find a nice place to eat here!
Content: One of our favourite restaurants this area! We've been here a few times for dinner. I mean.. look at this cheese!
Day 8 - 11 Sep 2021
Content: The area of Balat/Fener is also a very recommended part of Istanbul! We went there early to avoid the crowds. It's full of beautiful architecture and nice cafes and a great spot for photos. You can go there by public transport from any other part of Istanbul (or even walk).

Content: The rest of the day we spent around the Taksim/Beyoglu area. There's so much to explore, like the famous Istakal street. Be prepared that the roads in this area are very hilly and it can be really exhausting.
Content: The Galata tower is also an interesting place to visit in this area. We passed it a few times on our walks. You can even go up if you like!
Content: This place is the best to end the day with an authentic Turkish dinner! It's one of the best places I've ever eaten and the area around is so beautiful as well! A perfect place to end an amazing trip!
