Content: We took a very early train from Vienna to Budapest. Budget Tip: Book it via „MAV csoport“, a return ticket costs about 30€ (that’s an amazing price)

Content: After our arrival at Budapest Keleti we went to Vinyl & Wood for a delicious breakfast/lunch: Avocado Toast with eggs and some salad! Totally recommend it! Pricing: €
Content: Around 12 o’clock we went to our hostel, we loved the location it was perfect to explore the city. We rented a double room for more privacy!
Content: We strolled around the Fashion Street to the Jewish quarter were we really enjoyed the vibe, you can find there a lot of bars and vintage stores as well as delicious (Jewish) food like “Hummus Bar”
Content: A very nice and big vintage store: Hawaii, Shirts, Jeans Jackets, and much more!
Content: A really nice vintage shop were you can buy new clothes (looking old school) but also real vintage stuff like Levi’s shorts!
Content: For dinner we had some nice Mexican food add Tereza! It was really delicious and they also have nice cocktails, we love the atmosphere but would recommend to reserve a tabel!
Content: For drinks we went to the most famous ruin bar Szimpla Kert! The location is so cool but quiet touristy that’s why it’s also a bit more expensive than other ruin bars! Anyways it’s worth to visit!
Day 2 - 21 Jul 2021
Content: We started our morning with another amazing breakfast spot and for sure we had again a dish with avocado 😂 - actually this one was better than the one before but in general we liked both
Content: The next day we hiked up to Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion. It’s also touristy but not that much! The view is amazing, that’s why it actually is a must! The best view to the parliament and the location is so dreamy!
Content: For lunch we had a traditional Langos! This place is really often recommended and we liked it as well! Very authentic and delicious
Content: For sunset we bought some beer at the supermarket and enjoyed it from the Liberty bridge which was amazing and one of my highlights!
Content: In “Madach Imre ut” are many Bars located, we went to “Barside” we got to know a group of people immediately and celebrated the whole night! 🍻
Day 3 - 22 Jul 2021
Content: After partying we had a delicious burger at a small market, where you can order food from different spots
Content: Afterwards we relaxed the whole day in the small city park which was perfect! We walked around the castle, sat down and enjoyed the sun. Nearby is also the famous Szechenyi Thermal Bath which is definitely also worth a visit, due to time shortage we haven’t been there, but next time for sure!
Content: In the end we went to the karavan market in the Jewish quarter and had some goulash to end this journey the right way as it is a traditional dish in hungary. We also grabbed some traditional pyramid cake for our loved ones and some hummus for the train ride at “HUMMUS BAR”
Content: After picking up our luggage from the storage in our hostel we went back to the train station and had a very relaxed train ride back to Vienna, guess what it takes only about 2:30 hours.
