Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof)

Vienna, Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof)

Content: We took a three day trip to Venice and took the night train from Vienna. It’s an 8 hour train ride but you can get the sleeping carts and have a bed to yourself which makes the ride pretty easy. Grab a bottle of wine, some playing cards and sleep your way there and before you know it you’ll wake up in Venice!

Content: Ponte Di Rialto is a very pretty bridge and probably the most famous site in Venice. Its a pretty busy area so be prepared to battle crowds if you’re trying to cross over. It leads to lots of great shopping and has lots of cute stalls near by. If you want it to yourself try to be there by 6 am.

Content: The famous gondola is the most iconic symbol of Venice. Many people ask whether it’s worth it or not since the prices can be a bit high, however I think a trip to Venice without a gondola ride is missing one of the most important pieces of a trip. You can negotiate with them and the more people in your group, the lower the rate for you.

Content: Libreria Acqua Alta Di Frizzo is the coolest old bookstore library. It smells amazing the second you walk inside! The books are mostly in Italian but there are smaller sections throughout in different languages. The coolest parts to me are the back areas. There is an old entrance from the canal and outside they have a gondola that you can sit in. They also have a small back garden area that is full with a huge stack of books. I highly recommend checking this place out.
