Day 1 - 11 Oct 2021
Content: We arrived at Dubrovnik airport in the late afternoon, picked up the car we had previously rented and went to the city centre!
Content: We stayed at this amazing place with an amazing view over the city and the sea! I don’t recommend it if you don’t have a car because it was a bit far from the old town, mas since we were road tripping, we didn’t mind staying a far away. Our hosts were incredible! Always so nice ☺️
Day 2 - 12 Oct 2021
Content: We spent the entire day doing walking tours through the old town and just enjoying the cultural/cinematic explanation of everything. If you’re a Game of Throne fan, you know you need to visit Dubrovnik!
Content: It is also a requirement to watch the sunset in the “secret” bars along the shore. They even put Inception soundtrack, so you know they take it seriously 😂 But the views are amazing and the local beer was really nice too
Day 3 - 13 Oct 2021
Content: Second day in Dubrovnik we went to the beach, and before you ask: yes, that water is really that spectacular blue! 😍 You have a lot of beaches along the coast, and they all are amazing! The best part of not going during Summer was that we had them almost to ourselves 😎
Content: In the afternoon we rode to the highest point in Dubrovnik! It is really famous for the cable car and, of course, for the amazing sunset! Take a few snacks, a couple of drinks and finish your day at this wonderful spot. Pro-tip: also bring a jacket!😂
Day 4 - 14 Oct 2021
Content: The adventure started on the fourth day when we went to Bosnia! On our way to Mostar to stopped at these beautiful waterfalls ☺️ We paid 10€ which I think was a bit overpriced, but the entire beauty of the park compensated for it.
Day 4 - 14 Oct 2021
Content: Mostar is one of those places we don’t see often. It’s a little world between Europe and Asia where you see the influences of both continents. You can pay in 3 different currencies and eat a lot of different foods. I honestly loved it!
Content: We then went for check-in and the hotel was ok for a night, but it didn’t have hot water which was not great in October 😅
Day 5 - 15 Oct 2021
Content: The next day we drove from Mostar to Split, got a ticket on the ferry boat and in the middle of the morning we arrived at this little paradise on Earth called Hvar! One of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in my place, it is definitely the most amazing place to spend summer in Europe! Here, we just enjoyed the beach and eat too much food.
Day 6 - 16 Oct 2021
Content: We were so sad to leave Hvar that we only came back to Split later in the afternoon. I can’t tell you much from it as we just strolled through the centre of the city looking for a place to have dinner. The next say, moving to a new city!
Day 7 - 17 Oct 2021
Content: We woke up really early to go to the most famous Lakes in Croatia - and they didn’t disappoint! You can choose from different itineraries inside the Park - 5km, 10 or 15! You can spend the entire day in nature. You also have restaurants in case you get the munchies (although they are a bit overpriced)
Day 7 - 17 Oct 2021
Content: Before the day ends, make sure you have time to go see Pula’s Arena which is a mini Roman Colosseum. Still super impressive!
Content: Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of this super cosy hostel, but it was one of the best of the entire trip! It was so cheap we stayed in their master bedroom with breakfast included - amazing!
Day 8 - 18 Oct 2021
Content: Our flight was in the early morning so we drove during the night to deliver the car and catch it in time. My opinion about Croatia: totally worth it! Super beautiful country, with cheap food and cheap accommodation. The only thing that is not friendly is what you have to pay to drive on their roads 😅 but for 8 days I spent approx. 1100€ which is pretty great ✌️🏼
