Gare de Marseille-Saint-Charles

Marseille, Gare de Marseille-Saint-Charles

Content: Our trip comes to an end and we are taking the train back to Paris ! Here are some additional tips if you plan a trip to Marseille / Cassis : ▪️ Marseille is a city where you can either walk or take the public transportation. We only took the bus one time because a huge rain came to us the 1st day but we think you can do everything by walking 🚶‍♀️ ▪️ If you plan to go to Cassis and visit the Calanques, you will have to plan the whole day there. ▪️ Between the station of Cassis and the center city, you will have a walk of 35 minutes. Then from city center to the 1st calanque you will have a 25 minutes walk. ▪️ Visiting the Calanques in October was great as this site is apparently very busy during summer. If you visit the site in summer, came early as there are a lot of people. Take some good shoes and a lot of water. 💦 ▪️Also in Marseille, there can be huge winds, sometimes the boat excursions can be cancelled. When we went to the islands of Frioul, the wind was so strong that we barely enjoy this beautiful site 🙁
