Day 2 - 8 Oct 2021
Content: Once we got off the train, we started walking to the one of the most famous casinos in the world - Monte Carlo Casino
Content: Monte Carlo Casino is the casino where Golden Eye (James Bond) was filmed. The architecture is stunning and the cars parked outside as well. People not only took photos of the casino but of/with the cars as well, and trust me, there were many fancy cars outside the casino.
Content: We kept on walking around and went behind the casino. The view from there was amazing. Also there are some quirky statues to take photos with. I am pretty sure this would be an amazing sunset spot, but we had to head to our next stop and sunset there was not on our list.
Content: Then we headed down to Larvotto Beach. We took some sandwiches at Nice- Ville with us which we ate at the beach and spent some time there.
Content: We took a stroll along the Campions Promenade. This is a place where the feet of the world’s best footballers such as Ronaldo and Maradona have been imprinted. Even if you are not a football fan, I would still recommend this place.
Content: We strolled randomly in the the city.
Content: We had dinner at Eat me. It is mostly a take away place as it seemed. Food was already cooked and you can choose whatever you want to eat. The restaurant was small but served tasty and not expensive food. We were so hungry that we forgot to take any photos. We had coffee there as well.
Day 3 - 9 Oct 2021
Content: After checking out, we took metro to Promenade des Anglais. We took a walk along Promenade des Anglais

Content: The first view of the island was indeed stunning . In about an hour, we landed. Bastia airport is very small and hence pretty easy to navigate. We headed to Avis to get our rented car which we reserved online.
Content: We checked in to Hotel Calavita, which we booked from booking.com The hotel was really good, had a great terrace with rooftop restaurant, pool and jacuzzi. We travelled off season(season ends in the end of September), they stopped serving breakfast. Also, we had the pool and the jacuzzi for ourselves as there were not so many guests in the hotel.
Content: We freshened up and we walked around in the neighborhood, walked to the nearest beach. There were not many good restaurants nearby, and so we decided to try the food in our hotel. The rooftop restaurant was closed, so we ate at the restaurant on the ground floor. The food was good and so was the ambiance.

We took the elevator down, which is located at one end, towards the old port.

Day 5 - 11 Oct 2021
Content: We had lunch at A funtana. The restaurant was small but cozy. We were lucky to get an English menu there and the guy who took our order could speak some English, so it wasn’t that difficult. Food was good and we ordered coffee after that. If you want milk coffee, do not order cafe Latte in France. My friends were a little disappointed and then figured out that cafe au lait is what they should have ordered.
Day 5 - 11 Oct 2021
