Day 1 - 23 Nov 2021
Content: Welcome to Paris! Take a look at our 6 day itinerary in the city of love 🤍
Content: We landed at the airport and ubered to the Hotel le Cardinal to decompress after our long travel day. Hotel le Cardinal was inexpensive and central to the sights we were gonna see for the next day. We recommend it especially if you’re on a budget - it has all you need without breaking the bank.
Content: Then we walked to the Moulin Rouge for an iconic photo opp. We grabbed pastries on the way to hold us over before dinner.
Content: We then took a stroll through Montmartre, which is an area in Paris famous for its artistic heritage. We loved this area - think cute cafes, cobblestone streets, art vendors.
Content: Time for dinner! Make a reservation at Pink Mamma. The truffle pasta is to die for 😍. The ambiance here is everything but be sure to make reservations - you won’t get in otherwise!
Day 2 - 24 Nov 2021
Content: We woke up early to explore the Savré-Cœur church which sits on the highest point of Montmartre. It’s a 20 minute walk from the hotel. The church is beautiful, & the views from the top of the hill are stunning.
Content: We then checked out of Hotel le Cardinal and checked into Le Dokhan’s. This hotel gives you all the Parisian vibes - champagne bar, antique decor, gorgeous balcony views. We loved our stay here!
Content: We got a delicious lunch at Il Conte. They have a wonderful variety of pastas, pizzas, salads & main entrees.
Content: We then walked to the Arc de Triomphe. There are cars everywhere so be careful!! They do not stop for pedestrians.
Content: We then took it easy until later that night. We stopped at some street vendors for dinner (we got crepes 😋) and then watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle as the sun goes down. Such a magical moment!
Day 3 - 25 Nov 2021
Content: We woke up early to check out Rue de l’Université & the surrounding streets for some epic photo opps with the Eiffel Tower. To get this shot, we had to shoot during red lights, so all the stopped cars were watching lol. A bit awkward but such a cool photo!
Content: Then we went to admire the history of the Louvre. We definitely recommend buying tickets online so you don’t don’t have to wait in line! Plan to spend about 3 hours (or more!) here.
Content: On our way out of the Louvre we walked past the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel which was beautiful! Such amazing architecture. After this we grabbed some lunch and went back to the hotel before our nighttime adventure.
Content: That night we did a tour of the Catacombs ☠️ Book a tour online to reserve your spot - tickets sell out! If you are claustrophobic this might not be a great experience for you. Sorry for the lack of photos here - we felt it disrespectful to photograph the bones.
Day 4 - 26 Nov 2021
Content: We woke up and took the metro to the Palais-Royal. It was really cool but not too much to do here, plan to spend around 30 mins. Good spot for some photos!
Content: We of course had to stop by the Notre Dame. It is currently under construction but should be done in 2024.
Content: That night we came across a Christmas carnival! They had rides, food, all sorts of different vendors. It was a ton of fun!
Day 5 - 27 Nov 2021
Content: We checked out of Le Dokhan’s and into Hotel Royal Saints-Germaine for our last night. This is another great hotel if you’re on a budget. It has everything you need in a great location.
Content: We had a slow start to the day and spent the majority of the day walking around the Musée d’Orsay. It was a rainy day so this was a great way to spend our time! Definitely get tickets online in advance.
Content: We ended the day at Café Montparnasse and had a delicious bottle of Chardonnay and some lasagna and ravioli. Highly recommend for great food and great ambiance.
Day 6 - 28 Nov 2021
Content: Today was another travel day so we just walked around taking in the sights before it was time to go to the airport. We did some shopping, walked along the Champs-Élysées, and just took our time. Highly recommend stopping at Eric Kayser for one last pastry stop! We had to get macaroons to bring home. A nice relaxing way to end the trip!
