Day 1 - 22 Aug 2021
Content: We arrived in Paris with the Flixbus from Turin. 🚌 🏨 We booked a reservation in Hotel Joke - Astotel (rue Blanche), that is in a good position: very close to the metro and the Moulin Rouge and two km far from the Louvre. The Hotel is very nice as the people who manage it. We had good breakfasts here and we liked the possibility to have free snacks during the day.🥐 If you are a guest in this hotel, you can also take a rest and a snack in other hotels spread in the city, conventioned with it.🤸
Content: We took a walk for arriving at the champs Elysées. During our walking we had the occasion to buy the carnet for the museums. With that you can see many of them in Paris. We had a good walk on the champs Elysées and we arrived to the Arc de triomphe. You can go inside of it, where there is a little museum and you can reach the top of it, enjoying a great view of Paris. Unfortunately it was cloudy 😔 📸 While coming back, we visited Les Invalides. In this museum, if you like war stuff, you can find costumes and weapons of different ages.
Content: For the dinner, we always were in our Hotel zone. We were very close to the Montmartre where we found a lot of very typical restaurants.🥂 We used The Fork app to find the most particular ones!
Day 2 - 23 Aug 2021
Content: After a very good breakfast at the hotel, with pain au Chocolat, we visited the Louvre.📸 It is important to book the entrance, since there is a lot of people waiting for their turn. What can I say: this step is a must when you visit Paris and we liked a lot the time spent here!
Content: 📸 After the Louvre museum we went for a walk following the river, looking for a quick lunch. We had the occasion to see the famous Notre Dame Cathedral. Unfortunately we could not go inside because it is still under construction, after the fire that destroyed a part of that.
Content: 🍔 Fric Frac! Still found with the fork! A very good place where to taste a typical french toast, very close to Montmartre. Here is where we had our dinner, after a long day
Content: 📸 Montmartre, our step after dinner. This neighborhood is full of artists drawing beautiful portraits near typical restaurants where it is possible to find touristic menus. It is possible to visit the Sacre Coeur church and enjoying an amazing view of the city, sitting in front of the church, where street vendors offer cheap beers.🍻 It's a good place where you can relax after a long day!
Day 3 - 24 Aug 2021
Content: 📸 The Orsay Museum, it is very close to the Louvre and there is also a metro stop for going there. It is one of the places that I define as a must. It was good to admire here the Van Gogh operas. The place is very particular, since it an old station used as museum. The structure itself of the building is very particular.
Content: 📸 Our "museum day" proceeded with another interesting place: Le Jardin du Musée Rodin. It is an old mansion, full of very particular sculptures. 🌳After the visit inside, you can find very relaxing a walking in the garden. It was not the most beautiful garden I ever see, but it was a place full of peace inside a big city.
Content: 🥐 After a quick lunch on the road, we finally arrived to visit the famous Tour Eiffel. The tower is clearly visible from a lot of points of the city. We enjoyed its view, sitting on the park in front of this big monument.
Day 3 - 24 Aug 2021
Content: 🧅 We can't go on Paris without tasting the famous Soup à l'oignon! It was very good to taste this speciality in a very characteristic place: L' Artiste. We found it with the Fork. It is at Montmartre and you can feel to be really in France, while having dinner there.
Day 4 - 25 Aug 2021
Content: 🎢 I think Disneyland is one of the best places to visit, while staying in Paris. Is it easy to arrive here by train. Good for adults and children, I really enjoyed the time spent here, between my favourite cartoon and films. The day runs quick like a rollercoaster when you visit Disneyland!
Day 5 - 26 Aug 2021
Content: 📸 If you have time during your trip, it is for sure good to visit the Monumental Cemetery of Paris. The atmosphere is for sure creepy, in particular if you meet a cloudy day. Here you can find Oscar Wilde's tomb and other artists that were buried here.
Content: 📸 It was good to have a walk in the Latin Quarter, where the Sorbonne is placed. You can feel the university mood in the air. It is a very good walking and a place where you can find good places where to eat and also some souvenir shops. 📸 Coming back to the hotel, we visited the theatre: Opéra Garnier. The building is stunning from the outside to the inside!
Content: 🌮 Crêpes. Sweet or Salty. With meet, eggs, fish or only vegetables. They are VERY good in each way you take them! Creperie Rozelle Café, is a little place we found in Montmartre, where we found a lot of delicious combinations of Crêpes.
Day 6 - 27 Aug 2021
Content: 📸 From Paris, you can easily reach by train Versailles. For the lovers of the building architecture it is a visit that needs to be done. Unfortunately, this is not included in the carnet of museum. The place is always full of people, so it requires time to see all the castle. But it is a good visit in any case. What I loved more it was the garden. The images don't show how huge is this park.
Day 7 - 28 Aug 2021
Content: 📸 we spent our last day in Paris walking in Montmartre, looking for some "Easter eggs" hidden in Paris. In the picture the man trapped in the wall, taken from a famous book. The old Moulins. The blue door of the old Van Gogh's house. A good walking discovering nice spots.
Content: 🧁 There is no walking without a snack! Macaroons of many colours were waiting for us in a little coloured bakery.
Content: 🎁 For our souvenirs we choose Galeries Lafayette. We are talking about a very big mall divided in two sections: food+house furnitures and clothes. You can find many big names sold here and also a floor entirely dedicated to souvenirs. On the top of the clothes' section, a nice terrace where you can admire the view of Paris. This was the last step of our trip! We took the Flixbus and we came back in Turin, ready for the next travel!
