Content: Welcome to Crete! We flew from Berlin to Heraklion with Aegean Airlines 🇬🇷 From the airport we took a taxi to reach our hotel and it costed us less than 20€

Content: To reach our next destination we decided to take a bus, otherwise you can also rent a car.
Content: One of my favorite Greek specialities is the Moussaka! It’s just so good!! It’s a must during any holiday in Greece 🇬🇷

Content: We stayed here for 3 nights. Great hotel, it was quite new last summer. The pool area is really nice and perfect to relax

Content: Rethymno is the cutest and most picturesque village of the island. Also called the Venice of the East due to its history and typical architecture. What to see: - the Venetian Port, built in the first half of the XIV century by the Venetians. - The Old Town with its narrow streets full of restaurants and boutiques. - Yali Tzamisi, the mosque built on the dock of the port of Chania. - the Venetian Lighthouse, one of the oldest in the world, built towards the end of the XVI century.

Content: Balos lagoon is one of the best beaches of Greece! Getting there is quite complicated. The street is not the safest and once you park you still have to walk down for around 40 minutes, but it is totally worth it. Go there In The morning if you wanna find a parking

Content: Pink beach and crystal water 🏖 Elafonissi is a dream. The price for 2 chairs and one beach umbrella is around 10€

Content: We tried this place cause we saw a picture of gyros on their google page, when we arrived there they told us the picture is actually from the place next door. Anyway we sat and had our lunch there. The food was nothing special and in the end we paid a lot (almost as much as the fish place we went for dinner)
Content: This Fish Tavern is very typical and good. Everything they serve is fresh and delicious. It’s a bit pricey considering Cretan price but totally worth it! Plus is the best in the Elafonisi area

Content: Zaharias is a really cozy tavern with delicious food! The ingredients come directly from his field. The owner is a great person! The quality of the food is amazing and prices were so cheap and honest! Must try: -tzatziki -zucchini blossoms stuffed with rice and Cretan herbs

Content: In the south of Crete, Kalypso beach is a stunning place. Do not book a room at the hotel cause it is really bad.
