Day 1 - 1 Jul 2017
Content: My family and I flew in to Berlin and checked into our hotel. It was a perfect location, right in the city centre and the rooms were quite spacious! We had a really long flight so we ate at the restaurant in our hotel and rested for a big day of sightseeing the next day!
Day 2 - 2 Jul 2017
Content: We took a tour bus around Berlin which was the fastest way to see the city in such a short span of time! I will be inserting photos of my favourite spots that you should definitely visit when you’re in Berlin. First come the Gendarmenmarkt, which encompasses three historic landmark buildings: the Konzerthaus, the French Cathedral (Französischer Dom), and the German Cathedral (Deutscher Dom). It’s beautiful in the day and even better during sunset.
Content: We had a late lunch here, amazing local restaurant and great food!
Content: My favourite spot in Benin had to be this! The cathedral was so beautiful and has so much history behind it. You can even take photos across from the church with the mermaids, it’s such a pretty sight!
Content: These two points are right next to each other. I would recommend walking along the main road since you can pass by the TV centre and towards the memorial to the murdered Jews.
Content: Can’t recommend this place enough. It’s an affordable cafe style europe restaurant with great local food!
Day 3 - 3 Jul 2017
Content: We took a train to Prague at 10am and reached there at around 2pm!
Content: One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! They have a spa downstairs which I immediately used to relax and unwind. I recommended this hotel to my friend as well when she visited Prague and she loved it!
Content: We walked around the old town square and did some exploring but not too much as we booked another sightseeing tour for the next day. Had dinner at a local restaurant but the service wasn’t very good. Retired to the spa in our hotel again and then headed to bed.
Day 4 - 4 Jul 2017
Content: After eating an amazing breakfast at our hotel, we visited the Charles bridge (courtesy of the tour bus organised by our hotel) it’s so beautiful and you can see amazing views of the Vltava.
Content: We stopped by the amorino ice cream shop at Charles bridge too!
Content: I recommend taking a cruise by the river Vltava. It was very inexpensive and such a beautiful experience. We took the 1 hour tour on the boat.
Content: Later in the evening, our bus took us to the Pétrin Hill. Quite a trek up but the views are amazing, as you can see the best view of Prague from here.
Content: Next we made our way back down to the city centre and went to see the astronomical clock which rings every hour. It was still under construction when we went.
Content: Enjoyed our dinner at Hard Rock Cafe in Prague. We always love going here, especially on 4th of July!
Day 5 - 5 Jul 2017
Content: We had a 11am train to Budapest on this day and my oh my our hotel was AMAZING!! I recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Right in the city centre, our hotel faced the river on one side and the city centre on the other.
Content: We had lunch at this amazing restaurant. It is a historic coffee house in Budapest, great food too!
Content: After lunch we roamed around the city before taking a sunset cruise across the river danube. I don’t even think the photos I’ve taken do Justin to how beautiful this was. 10/10 recommend! They offered dinner on the boat too.
Day 6 - 6 Jul 2017
Content: We took a half day private Segway tour across the city and this way one of the best decisions we had made. Budapest is such a big city and we wanted to really get to see as much of the city as possible.
Content: First stop was the basilica! His is the most important religious buildings in Hungary
Content: We passed by the Danube river to make it to my favourite spot: the Fisherman’s bastion. Come here during sunset for the best aerial view of the city.
Content: For lunch we went to this Mediterranean/ Italian restaurant and had some great food, I recommend booking in advance!
Content: After lunch we made our way all the way to the other side of budapest to see Hero’s square. If we had more time, we would have gone to the art galleries on either side of the hero square.
Content: At night, we took a flight back home. Budapest was by far my favourite city in the whole trip! So glad we could visit all 3 iconic cities though
