Day 4 - 18 Oct 2021
Content: We booked this one bedroom flat called “Keramidogatos” on Airbnb because of the location. It is on a 4th floor traditional walk up in the Old Town of Corfu, right by the famous Church of Aghios Spiridonas and the views are crazy. Everything in the Old Town, port and the fortresses are in walking distance so we took the car back to the rental place, and decided to stay here forever the remaining days and enjoy the culture, architecture wind lifestyle of this unique, Venetian town.
Content: Time for some shopping. One of my favorite boutiques in Corfu is Muses, they have an incredible collection of pieces from dresses, to hats and jewlery, candles, bags and home items handcrafted from different artists from all over Greece.
Content: Another stop to This incredibly unique jewlery boutique where you can find handmade gold and silver pieces created by a Cretan female artist by hand. Their rings are all one of a kind, and what is incredibly special about them is that they all have parts that twist. I brought two rings and wear them all the time… definitely worth the visit! I have never seen any piece of jewelry like these in all my travels.

Content: Back in the center of the Old Town for a snack and coffee at one of the most famous cafes here called Mikro Cafe, which means “Petite coffee”.
Content: A couple of blocks away is one of the most famous sweet shops on the island. The only vegan option they have, unfortunately, is their sorbets which are absolutely delicious. Walking around and marveling at the architecture which is a mesh of Venetian, Byzantine and contemporary Greek is truly an adventure. The narrow streets that tangle inside the Old Town are called “Kantounia” and even though you can easily get lost amongst them, it is the best feeling because there’s always a new and beautiful corner to experience.

Each of his dishes is a unique creation, combining local natural elements in the most balanced and delicious way. With many vegan options and a menu that changes with the seasons, this restaurant is definitely a treat! I’m a fan!

The volunteers and workers here do such an incredible job of taking care of old donkeys that would have been cents fed to death in the meat trade. Here they are rescued and offered a life of love during the last years of their lives in this beautiful land surrounded by trees, flowers and wild nature. We got to interact with these amazing animals, feed them and donate to this noble cause.
