Content: On our first day in Athens of course we had to go up to the Acropolis. It’s a bit of a walk uphill, so be sure to bring comfortable shoes. The stone on the ground can also be slippery at the top so be careful. The views are incredible from the top.

Content: I’m so sad that I don’t remember the name of this restaurant, but it was a little place off the beaten path on our way down from the Acropolis. They had the best chicken souvlaki of my trip.

Content: We stayed at Small Funny World hostel and the location was perfect! Very close to the center, lots of restaurants and shops, and it wasn’t far from the Acropolis either.

Content: You can see the changing of the guards ceremony certain mornings at 11am. It’s an interesting tradition to watch!

Content: Walk through the beautiful National Garden and admire the wonderful greenery, architecture, and even fruit trees! There’s also a small restaurant inside where you can stop for a drink.

Content: Make sure to have some gyros while in Athens. They’re a delicious and usually inexpensive meal! The center of Athens has so many restaurants to choose from, so you have plenty of options.

Content: If you’re looking for beautiful views of the Acropolis lit up at night, head to City Zen rooftop bar. It can be a little pricey, so I’d suggest having dinner elsewhere and then coming here for dessert or a drink if you’re on a budget.

Content: Be sure to plan time to visit this historic Olympic stadium. It only costs a couple euros to enter and you can climb the steep steps up to the top overlooking the stadium. You’re also able to walk through the athletes’ tunnel and tour a small Olympic museum inside.

Content: In the center of Athens there’s this adorable hidden gem. This street makes you feel like you’re in a cartoon. Stop by for a meal or just some photos.

Content: On Easter Day nearly all of the restaurants along the shore are grilling and serving roasted lamb. The dish was delicious, would highly recommend trying it if you’re on the island at that time of year.

Content: We stayed at Santorini Breeze hostel and it was pretty good. We had our own room for one night which was nice. It also had a pool which is rare for a hostel. There were quite a few ants in the room, but it’s an island so you have to expect some bugs.

Content: We took the bus from Perissa to Fira. It was pretty inexpensive, but the buses on Santorini are a bit unpredictable, so give yourself plenty of time. The streets of Fira are very charming and there are lots of cute shops and restaurants with sea views.

Content: We decided to eat near the bus terminal because it was cheaper and less crowded, and the food was actually delicious!

Content: Then we took the bus to Oia - the most popular part of Santorini. It was absolutely stunning, but was very crowded with tourists. The sunset was absolutely beautiful though. If you’re planning to stay for the famous sunset, be sure to get there 1-3 hours early, depending on the season. The good spots fill up very fast.

Content: Before heading off on our last day in Santorini, we stopped for breakfast here and it was pretty good. The service was a little spotty, but the food was good.

Content: We decided to do our own little wine tour for our last day, so our first stop was at Santo Wines. The views from their balcony were incredible, and their wine was delicious too!

Content: My favorite winery was definitely Venetsanos. We decided to purchase a wine tasting of 4 wines, and the employee that hosted us for our tasting was so funny and friendly! It was a wonderful experience. I also couldn’t get over how incredible the views at this winery were. Would HIGHLY recommend stopping here!
