Content: We decided to go to Budapest and enjoy the city for a week. We made our plans a long time ago and we were looking forward to this trip. We prepared our luggages and went to airport to catch the plane to Budapest. We arrived at the airport around 6 pm. Although the transport from the airport to city center was easy, we wanted to take a taxi. Our hotel was in Buda part and it took half an hour to go there by taxi. We paid around 23 euros.

Content: We arrived at the hotel in the evening. They welcomed us really well. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We went up to leave our luggages. The room was very clean which made us happy. We were kind of tired but still wanted to see around a bit. So we decided to have a short walk in the old town of Buda. Content: After a short walk, we arrived to the center of the old town in Buda part. We’d like to give a short information here. The river Danube splits Budapest in two sides: Buda and Pest. Buda is more like the historical part and Pest is more lively and has more attractions to do. And since Buda is located on top of a hill, we had a great view from Buda to the Pest part at night. After spending around 30-40 minutes here we went back to our hotel. Basic Tips: 📸Perfect spot to take photos any time during the day 🍷You can bring your drinks & snacks 💵No entrance fee

Content: The breakfast was included to our prices so we had our breakfast at the hotel. The food was really fresh and good. Their desert selection was especially satisfying for the ones who has a sweet tooth.

Content: After the breakfast we started our day in Budapest. We decided to go to Fisherman’s Bastion to see the view in daylight this time. It was full of people enjoying the view, sitting down and reading some books or drinking. You don’t need to be a tourist here. A lot of local people spend their time both during the day and at night.

Content: After taking lots of photos of the Fisherman’s Bastion we walked to Matthias Church to visit. It’s the most important church in Buda.

Content: Old town of Buda is just great to explore. We walked around the streets of the old town and did some shopping for souvenirs. The streets are not that easy to walk since they are all downhill. So keep in mind to have comfortable shoes with you. Or you can also rent electrical scooters. After a long walk when we started to feel tired, we rented Lime. It was fun and relaxing.

Content: We started our day in the Buda part again. This time we went directly to Buda Castle. It is a huge place to spend time. There is a history museum, an art collection there so you should spend nearly half day here. You also can see the guards on their horses. Content: We walked down to famous Chain Bridge which connects the two sides of Budapest. We crossed the bridge and of course took a lot of photos. You can walk or rent a Lime. It’s one of the most photogenic places in Budapest.

Content: After crossing the bridge, we ran into a nice cafe/bar next to the bridge spontaneously. It had a great view with the river. You can grab your drinks and sit in front of the river and enjoy it. Definitely one of the best moments in this trip.

Ramazuri Bistronomy

Content: We rented Lime to go to the famous Parlament today. The building is even more impressive up close. Just in front of it, there is statue of ‘Shoes on the Danube’ which is a memorial for the ones who lost their live on the WW2.

Content: We walked to the Vöröstmarty Square in order to eat/drink something in well-known Cafe Gerbaud. When we were there, there was live music, a musician was playing piano. It was an excellent experience for us. And just in front of the cafe, there is a metro station, wich is the oldest station in Europe. Content: We walked through this street in the afternoon. There are lots of restaurants and cafes. And a lot of shops. They are not the luxury brands but you can find all mainstream brands here. (H&M, Zara etc.)

Content: This is a huge basilica in the middle of an important square. This area is full of bars and restaurants. So it is better to come here before diner time.

Content: We didn’t had any reservations for this place but just by luck, we found a table for two. We were really hungry and tried Pizza Bufalina and Ricotta-Spinach pasta here. The prices were affordable but the service and the food were excellent. If you want to eat here, we recommend to make a reservation. Content: If you have read the famous book which is “The Pal Street Boys”, we recommend strongly to come here and see this nice sculpture. You can see Nemecsek and his friends playing a game and have a chance to say “Hi” to your childhood friends.

Content: We walked to see this theatre building. The decoration was great inside. We couldn’t have an opportunity to watch a play here but if you are interested in, check the program beforehand.

Content: We spend some time in this district and walked around the streets here. It is a nice place where you can explore a lot and also famous with the night life. Plus, you can visit the Synagog which is also located in this district.

Content: This time, we went to this famous New York Cafe to have our breakfast. It is fascinating inside and you can enjoy the historical atmosphere. Opened in 1894, New York Cafe is like a symbol of this city. The prices are not that high as expected but the food is average - we must say. Content: Andrassy Street leads directly to the Hero’s Square. Behind this square, you will find Vajdahunyad Castle and Szechenyi Thermal Bath. This is the biggest thermal bath in Europe. You can easily spend your afternoon here.

Content: We had our last breakfast in Budapest at the hotel. The staff is really friendly and we loved the hotel so it was hard for us to leave. At the end of this trip, we had such good memories. The river Danube and the city itself were inspiring for us. We are quite sure that we will see each other again. But now we are heading to the airport.
