Kirkjufell
Content: 🇮🇹1 day Siamo atterrati a Reykjavik verso le 10.00am, dopo aver preso il nostro 4x4, ci siamo messi subito in viaggio verso il monte Kirkjufell. Era appena nevicato per cui ci abbiamo messo più del dovuto ma devo dire che ne è valsa la pena. 🇬🇧Day 1 : Kirkjufell We landed in Reykjavik at 10:00 am, we rented our 4x4 (very recommended) near the airport in Keflavik, and we started our jouney toward the famous mount Kirkjufell. There was a orange alert for the strong wind and the snow, it was really really difficult to ride those road but we reached the Iceland most famous mount anyway, the Kirkjufell.

Content: 🇮🇹ci svegliamo ed andiamo verso il Circolo d'oro. ci fermiamo soprattutto al Geyser e a Gulfoss. Il Geyser erutta all'incirca ogni 8 minuti 🇬🇧Golden Circle We got up early and drove towards the so called Golden Circle. There, you can visit a big Geyser that erupt once every 8 min more or less.

Hrunalaug Hot Spring
Content: 🇮🇹Verso sera andiamo in una Hot Spring naturale poco conosciuta ma molto suggestiva dove ne vale la pena fermarsi. 🇬🇧 At dusk we found a free natural ho spring called Hrunalaug, we stopped for few hours to enjoy the really hot water in the middle of the whitened nowhere. Amazing experience.

Content: 🇮🇹Dopo aver passato una notte e una mattinata bella burrascosa in quanto c'era il vento e la pioggia molto forte, ci mettiamo in viaggio verso la possente cascata di Skògafoss, purtroppo ci siamo messi subito in viaggio in quanto mi ero inzuppata dalla pioggia. 🇬🇧 After a rainy night and a really windy morning (120km/h gusts) we hit the road towards Skògafoss falls. Unfortunately I got soaked with water because of splash and rain and we didn't stop for long.

Content: 🇮🇹Non contenti di aver preso abbastanza pioggia decidiamo di fermarci alla Black Sand Beach. Una spiaggia nera sulle coste di Vik 🇬🇧After that we reached the Black Sand Beach, a vulcanic sand made beach in the little town ok Vìk.

Content: 🇮🇹Dopo esserci asciugati decidiamo di andare verso il Plane Wreck. Un aereo del 1973 che ha dovuto fare un'atterraggio di emergenza. Noi decidiamo di andare a piedi e dopo una lunga camminata di 45 minuti arriviamo al relitto a dir poco singolare ma molto bello. 🇬🇧 After drying ourselves, we decided to reach the plane wreck. That's a crashed plane landed on the beach in 1973 because of an emergency landing. During the day it can be reached by bus, but we were late and we took a 45 min walking at the sunset our (bring some lights). The site was very suggestive, with the lonely body of the plane wingless near the sea.

Content: 🇮🇹Dopo una bella camminata di circa 30 minuti arriviamo alla cascata di Svartifoss, una cascata circondata dai basalti. Il sentiero per arrivarci era completamente ricoperto di neve per cui bisogna attrezzarsi con scarponcini da neve e le catene 🇬🇧After a 30 min walk, we reached the Svartifoss falls, surrounded by amazing natural basaltic columns. The trail was vero slippery because of the ice on the ground, we seriously recommend the use of crampons (you can easily find some cheap crampons on amazon)

Content: 🇮🇹Decidiamo all'ultimo momento di avvicinarci il più possibile al ghiacciaio Vatnajokull. Dopo di che di dirigiamo verso Hönf, fermandoci velocemente alla Diamond beach 🇬🇧We decided to try to get as near as possible to the Vatnajokull glacier. After that we took the car to go to Höfn, making a small pit stop at the stunning Diamond Beach.

Content: 🇮🇹Sveglia presto e siamo andati a visitare la città di Honf, molto carina! Dopo di che via che si va verso le ice cave 🇬🇧We woke up early and we went sightseeing the city of Höfn, really nice. After that, we went straight to the ice cave tour.

Content: 🇮🇹Ci rimettiamo in macchina per andare verso Jökulsáron dove abbiamo l'escursione nella Ice cave presso il ghiacciaio di Vatnajokull. Un'esperienza da fare assolutamente. 🇬🇧We took the car to go to Jökulsárlón, where we started the ice cave tour in the Vatnajokull glacier. A must do experience.

Content: 🇮🇹Dopo di che ci mettiamo in marcia verso Hella, ma prima non ci potevamo non fermare al Vahalla restaurant dove la sua particolarità è un area dove puoi lanciare delle asce e vestirti da vikingo 🇬🇧After that, we continued our trip to Hella. The last stop before hotel ha been the dinner at the Valhalla Restaurant, where we found hamburgers in an amazing viking style room. This place is a must-go-place because while having a dinner you can dress like viking and playing axe throwing.

Hallgrímskirkja è la chiesa più famosa di Reykjavik si può anche salire fino al campanile dove si può ammirare dall'alto tutta la città 🇬🇧The last day we couldnt help but look in the capital. Hallgrímskirkja is Reykjavik most famous church, you can join an amazing view of the city from the bell tower.

Da Svata kaffid, un pub molto singolare e piccolino , preparano ottime zuppe, la loro particolarità è che vengono servite dentro a una pagnotta di pane 🇬🇧Since we found a pretty rainy day, why don't we try some delicious tipical food to gennaio heat on? At the Svata Kaffid, a small and uncommon pub, you can taste some soup served in a singolar way, filling a carved loaf of bread.

Content: 🇮🇹Le blue lagoon sono delle sorgenti di acqua calda, è a pagamento ma vale tutti i soldi del biglietto d'entrata. In più ti viene offerto l'asciugamano, un cocktail di benvenuto e una maschera per il viso. 🇬🇧"Blue lagoon" is a natural hotspring, the ticket to enter is a bit expensive, but it totally worth the experience. With the standard ticket they offer you a towel, a welcome drinks at the pool bar, a mud mask and obiouvsly the shower before leaving.
