Day 1 - 23 Sep 2021
Content: We landed at the airport of Napoli, we rented the car and we drove to the Amalfi Coast (1 hour by car). (If you want to visit the Amalfi Coast I suggest to rent a small car or a scooter because the roads are very narrow and parking spaces are scarce!) It’s our third time here but we never get tired of the beauty of Positano, so colorful and always romantic! Where to find the beautiful spot of the pics overlooking the beach, the famous dome and the whole Positano ☞ via Cristoforo Colombo, Coordinates: (40.6279476, 14.4897722) From here you can also watch the sunset 🌅
Content: Where to enjoy the most beautiful view of Positano ever? Of course, at “Le Sirenuse”! In my opinion this is the best luxury boutique hotel in town to spend your days on the Amalfi Coast and ideal to explore Positano! Best food, cocktails with a view and a very nice swimming pool, what else? I love that here you can breathe a chic atmosphere from another time.. not easy to find nowadays..
Day 2 - 24 Sep 2021
Content: Day 2 in the beautiful island of Capri! We arrived by ferry from nearby Sorrento (about 20 minutes) and we decided to explore the island by sea with a private boat tour (which is the best way to see the beauty that the island has to offer). As you can see we visited the Marina Grande, the Blue Grotto, Grotta dei santi, the Green cave, the Marina Piccola and the lighthouse! It was such a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed it so much, sunbathing, taking a bath and just relaxing!
Day 2 - 24 Sep 2021
Content: And finally…the iconic Faraglioni of Capri! Definitely a must to see! Did you know that according to the legend, a kiss under the arch of the Faraglione is a promise of eternal love?
Day 2 - 24 Sep 2021
Content: After the boat ride we took the funicular to the famous little square of Capri.. (The return ticket is 4€ per person) From here, with a short walk, you can reach the panoramic gardens of Augustus with the most beautiful view of the Faraglioni! I mean, this view is everything! You can also relax in these beautiful and lush gardens.. (You have to pay an entrance fee of 1€ on their website only)
Day 2 - 24 Sep 2021
Content: Then we continued the day strolling around the alleys of Capri where you can find gorgeous shops for some luxury shopping and the best lemon slushies! We had dinner at “Aurora” restaurant, fresh fish food and pizza to end this beautiful day!
Day 3 - 25 Sep 2021
Content: On the third day we visited Ravello, a small town located high in the mountains of the Amalfi Coast, and its beautiful villas on the sea! The first one is “Villa Cimbrone” (entrance fee is 7€ pp), that sitting high atop a promontory offers stunning views of the Mediterranean and the dramatic coastline below! The most photographed point is the Terrace of Infinity. This is the villa’s belvedere, that is lined by a series of marble busts that on clear days sparkle against the blue sky above and the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea below. As you can see it’s very romantic!
Day 3 - 25 Sep 2021
Content: On the way to the second villa, we stopped at the restaurant of “Villa Maria” hotel.. highly recommended for the best “pizza fritta” and “parmigiana” with the view of the coast at your feet! Probably the most panoramic restaurant in Ravello!
Content: But.. my favorite place in Ravello is “Villa Rufolo”! (Ticket price 7€) The Villa Rufolo, which overlooks the Piazza Vescovado, is the historical and cultural center of Ravello and it boasts some of the most scenic views of the Amalfi Coast! This villa and its beautiful gardens date back to the 13th-century, when they were built for the wealthy and prominent Rufolo family. Following the pretty pathways through the gardens leads you to the famous Belvedere overlooking the Amalfi Coast. You can enjoy the colorful flowers and stunning views looking down the coastline toward the seaside towns of Minori and Maiori. Spring and summer are definitely the best time to visit this wonderful villa!
Day 4 - 26 Sep 2021
Content: We spent the 4th day in Amalfi, shopping the typical food and enjoying some historical spots! Have you ever heard about the Fontana “Cap e Ciuccio”? This Fontana is unusual and it is absolutely stunning! It was built in the 18th century mainly to facilitate donkeys carrying goods downhill from the mountain area. Currently is one of the most popular and photographed spot of Amalfi.. flipping a coin in the fountain seems to bring good luck 😉
Content: The Duomo of Amalfi is one of the most famous historical buildings of the area, one of the most visited ones and also one of the most appreciated by tourists. Every years thousands of tourists take a stop here and enjoy what is truly a masterpiece of architecture, dominating the most famous square of the town. It’s definitely a must-visit during your stay in the Amalfi Coast! It’s open everyday, and during the mass you can enter without paying the ticket..if you visit it, don’t miss the Heaven’s Cloister which is surely worth a visit!
Content: Then we stopped in the center of Amalfi for a delicious snack.. have you ever tried a lemon sorbet.. inside the lemon? Of course is a must to do in Amalfi!
Day 4 - 26 Sep 2021
Content: This is my favorite restaurant on the Amalfi Coast! The view is breathtaking over Conca dei Marini and they had the best Babba’ for dessert! 😉
Day 5 - 27 Sep 2021
Content: An unusual place to visit in the Amalfi Coast is definitely the Fjord of Furore, a small crack in the rocks and a sort of natural port, where is possible to arrive only by the sea side (by boat or via a staircase) surmounted by a natural rock arch that perfectly complete the majesty of this place. It’s so nice to take a little bath there!
Day 5 - 27 Sep 2021
Content: We came back to Positano for a quick lunch at “Le Sirenuse”, always so beautiful to be back there! Look at the view!
Day 5 - 27 Sep 2021
Content: For dinner we found this typical and chic restaurant near Sorrento.. super recommended if you come by 😉
Day 6 - 28 Sep 2021
Content: The last day, we decided to take a walk around Sorrento before going back to the hotel and packing to go home! Sorrento is bigger and chaotic than the coast but it’s worth taking a stroll if you have enough time!
Content: For the last dinner before taking the plane back home, we choose this restaurant on TripAdvisor and it was such a good surprise! The owners are really nice and super friendly! It’s always so nice to come back and visit the Amalfi Coast, for the beautiful views, the kindness of the people and of course for the delicious food!
