Day 1 - 20 Aug 2021
Content: Hi everyone, my journey starts here! We took a flight that carried us to Lisbon where we stayed only for a few hours (just the time for having a shower and taking a nap). We stayed in Star Inn Lisbon Airport, a very nice hotel closed to the airport. In our room we found typical liquor and biscuits!
Day 2 - 21 Aug 2021
Content: At 7 am we took our second flight to arrive (finally) in the beautiful Madeira! Arriving in Madeira is possible (from Italy) passing through Lisbona/Porto.
Day 2 - 21 Aug 2021
Content: Finally we landed in Funchal (curiosity: the city’s airport is named to Cristiano Ronaldo, who was born in Madeira). In the airport, before exit doors, is possible admiring 9 awards won by the island as the best destination in Europe and in the world! We rented a VW Polo with Enterprise in the airport and then we were ready for discovering Madeira😬
Content: The first spot is called Monte Palace: a park surrounded by nature where it’s possibile to see butterflies, art exhibitions, insects and arachnids. The most attractive spot in this park is a Buddhist temple. There are so many ups and downs so the park provides golf kart for moving from on side to the other one.
Content: For lunch we went to our hotel in Funchal named Vila Baleira, so we could check our room and hotel’s pool (very nice😬). For me seafood paella😋
Content: These are our beautiful room and hotel’s pool! We spent an hour taking picture on the terrace. The hotel also offers a gym and a solarium. From our room it’s possible seeing the sea and I loved this😍

Day 3 - 22 Aug 2021
Content: We drive through Seixal and we were surprised for all these trees (Madeira is called in Italy the “green” island but we didn’t think so much “green”😅) In Madeira also driving is a pleasure because of its nature and its landscapes.
Content: Second spot: finally ocean! We arrived in this beautiful natural pool, we prefer it because water isn’t so cold as in the ocean! There are rocks where it’s possible to lie down and sunbath!
Day 3 - 22 Aug 2021

Day 3 - 22 Aug 2021
Content: To finish the day we choose a difficult hiking to arrive in 25 fontes falls! The path isn’t easy and is very steep in some places but the beauty of the destination has removed the fatigue! From 9 am to 6 pm is possible not walking during the last leg of the route by taking a bus. This time we chose to continue our hiking but the next time we called immediately the bus driver😅

Day 6 - 25 Aug 2021

Content: We rented a quad for the afternoon and we visited all the island, from Mohinos do Ventos to Praia Calheta! I think that quad is the best transport to visit the island! 4 hours are enough to visit everything is worth to visit!

Day 8 - 27 Aug 2021
Content: To finish the day like this is priceless! We watched the sunset from Cristo Rei (similar but smaller than the one situated in Rio de Janeiro). This part of the island isn’t so much green so you can find cactus and aloe in everywhere!
Day 9 - 28 Aug 2021
Content: During our last day here we visited Camara de Lobos where all the installations in the city are made with plastic and cans recovered from the sea and recycled. The word “lobos” means seal.
Day 9 - 28 Aug 2021
Content: Time to leave Madeira is arrived🥺 I think that a human at least once in his life have to go and visit this beautiful island. Its landscapes and color palette are amazing. We booked only one hotel and then we moved to and from that hotel. The island isn’t very big so it’s possible doing it.
