Content: We left Switzerland and arrived in Venice after a long ride (~7h). It was quite hard to find a parking spot but we found one at San Marco Garage that costed 39€ for 24 hours. Then, we hopped on a vaporetto to join our hotel (a ticket costs 7.50€ per person).

Content: As you might know, the famous Aperol Spritz comes from Venice! So make sure to get a good one 🍸

Content: As it was raining, we decided to do find an indoor activity and the Campanile was a good one. A ticket costs 10€ per person, and the 360° view on Venice is really worth it.
Content: We were walking around when it started to rain again, so we stopped in a restaurant next to Rialto Bridge, bad idea. The food wasn’t good and we waited one hour to get our pizzas.

Content: We left Venice and drove 2h30 to arrive in Ljubljana, in Slovenia 🇸🇮 I had booked two night at Central Hotel and we loved very much this place. It is well located, and the room is cosy. We paid 199€ for 2 nights for 2 persons.
Content: I had seen this place on TripAdvisor and it was quite amazing! We loved the delicious burgers, the local beers, and the great atmosphere.

Content: On the third day, we drove from Ljubljana to Postojna (40 minutes) to visit the well known Postojna Caves. I had booked tickets online to secure a time slot. It was quite expensive (20.60€ for -25 years old and 25.80€ for adults + 3.50€ for the audioguide) but so well organized! The visit lasts around 1h30 and we have to take a train into the caves, and then walk a few kilometers.
Content: It was one of the only restaurants opened in the area, so we stopped there for lunch and we were surprised! The local food was delicious and the prices quite low (24€ for 2 people with several dishes and beers).
Content: I wanted to see this castle for so long! We didn’t go inside but the outdoors are quite magical.

Content: Back in Ljubljana to discover this charming capital. We walked up to the castle and enjoyed a wonderful view on the town.
Content: For dinner, we went to Landerik, which is a restaurant in the old town only using and serving local ingredients. The server was amazing and we learned a lot about Slovenian gastronomy.

Content: It was already time to leave Ljubljana. We quickly stopped to an ancient castle: Grad Kamen. The entrance is free and you can discover by yourself the ruins of the castle.

Content: One of the highlights of Slovenia: Bled Lake! We had seen so much pictures of this place but we were still amazed by the beauty of this lake.
Content: There was only this restaurant around us and therefore had lunch there, but the food was average.
Content: We went on a small hike to enjoy the postcard view of Lake Bled. It is really a must do, as the view is totally breathtaking!!

Content: We left Slovenia a bit heartbroken, and did a quick stop in Lienz, in Austria, before reaching the Italian Dolomites.

Content: After 4 hours of driving, we arrived at our hotel: Mareo Dolomites. We’ve got a huge room for ourselves and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. For one night, we paid 187€.

Content: We weren’t lucky with the weather during this trip, so we relaxed a bit at the hotel before hitting the road.

Content: We then went to the Saint John’s Church, which is an iconic place in the Dolomites. When it’s sunny, you can observe wonderful mountains in the background.

Content: It was still raining a lot, and we found a center with a restaurant and a swimming pool on our road, so we decided to stop there and wait for the weather to get better.

Content: In the evening, we arrived to our last hotel of the trip. We really liked our room, even though it was a B&B, everything was clean and cosy. We paid 74€ for one night, for 2 persons.
Day 6 - 20 Sep 2021
Content: For our last day, the weather was finally getting better so we went to a wonderful place: Lago di Carezza. We were so happy to discover it before driving back to Switzerland!
