Content: We landed in Catania the night before. The first morning we decided to bring some pieces of cake 🍰 at the “Pasticceria Savia”, a famous Sicilian food shop since 1897🫶🏽, and to eat them in Villa Bellini, where you can see the Etna Volcano.

Content: After a lazy walk in Villa Bellini, we decided to discover the centre of Catania, towards the fishmonger, where we had found Via Gisira, Via Pardo and Via Riccioli, some streets full of hanging colorful umbrellas.

Content: I drank a coffee in this cute pub “Lettera 82” and I enjoyed the colorful umbrellas in the square!

Content: At the lunch time, we take the metro ( from Italia station in Catania ) and we arrived at the Galatea Station, we walk for 15 minutes and we arrived in the Seafront of Catania. We bought a Sicilian Pizza and a Vegetarian Piadina and a big bignè in the place named “Ernesto” and we enjoyed it in front of the sea😍

Content: At evening, we walk on Etnea Street, did some shopping and enjoyed some street musicians and the bicycle ride of the “Giro d’Italia”🫶🏽

Content: We order a salad and a portion of french fries🤭 and two glasses of Red Wine🍷

B&B Residenza Umberto

Content: Then we went back to our b&b, Residenza Umberto, that was near Villa Bellini.

Content: We took the train from Catania to Syracuse, we took a nap and arrived in Syracuse station in an hour.

Content: After 10 minutes by feet, we arrived in the Port of Syracuse, where you can admire the Archimede Statue! Unfortunately that day there was rain😞 and no colorful umbrellas in the streets😂

Content: In the morning we visit (for free, is it an open monument) the Temple of Apollo. If you love history this a nice city for you!

Content: Before the lunch, we visited the Leonardo da Vinci and Archimede Museum (7€ per person), The Museum presenting interactive models of scientific inventions by Leonardo da Vinci & Archimedes. So fun! 🤭

Content: The Diana Fountain (situated in Archimede’s Square) is a monumental fountain from 1907. So cool! 😍

Content: We walked to the Maniace Castel but we couldn’t visit it because it was closed 💔 then, we went back in Catania.

Content: We arrived at “Taormina-Giardini” train station and walked 17 minutes to get to the top, where the centre of Taormina is located ✨ It was a gook workout with a beautiful view.

Content: We walked to the square “IX Aprile” and we bought a piece of cake to eat while we were relaxing in front of the blue sea. Then, we went back in Catania, and the day after, we went back home😍❤️
