Content: We left for this trip in the morning and after a 5 hour drive we finally reached the Aosta Valley. This region is particularly full of castles and the first stop was a beautiful castle, which however was not open due to the winter period. We then took many photos with our drone, walked around the surrounding town and ate a sandwich.

Content: We then headed to our accommodation, a beautiful apartment "Maison Venoir" in Aymavilles, a village in a beautiful valley. The apartment is very nice and equipped with every comfort, but the best thing is the view from the living room window. Tired from the long journey, we relaxed in our apartment and rested.

Content: We started the day by going to the Buzzi pastry shop, to have breakfast and buy the original "baci di nus", delicious typical sweets 😍

Content: we then headed to the castle of Fénis, one of the most beautiful in the region; a visit here is a must! To see it, even internally, it takes a few hours and the entrance ticket costs € 7

Content: After finishing the visit to the castle we went back to our apartment for lunch and in the afternoon we headed to Aosta, the only city in the region. Aosta has a beautiful historic center, with many remains of Roman civilization and many shops selling typical products and souvenirs. In the period we went there were also many beautiful Christmas markets, an ice rink and many Christmas decorations 😍 For dinner we took some delicious typical products that they sold at the markets.

Content: The first destination of the day we chose Cogne, a small town not far from our apartment. It is an alpine pearl that offers a unique setting on the glaciers of the Gran Paradiso, an ideal destination to spend a few hours.

Content: After We went back to the apartment for a quick lunch and in the early afternoon we headed to Aymavilles Castle, the town where we stayed. This castle is only open at certain times of the year and at Christmas time it is possible to visit it with a guide. The visit lasts about an hour and a half and the cost is € 5

Content: After the visit we decided to make a last stop and went to one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Etroubles is a small medieval village, surrounded by large woods; along the cobbled streets, in addition to the particular works of art, you can discover picturesque corners with splendid fountains and ancient stone houses.

Content: Unmissable destination if you go to Valle d'Aosta is certainly Courmayeur, particularly famous in Italy and France for being the destination of many VIPs. It is a beautiful town, near Mont Blanc, where there are many shops of the most prestigious and famous brands. For lunch you can have a crepes or a focaccia in one of the many places that make street food and for a hot drink there are many trendy places.

Content: We then moved to Entrèves, a magical village at the foot of Mont Blanc. One of the most beautiful and evocative places I have ever seen, especially as it started snowing and everything seemed so surreal 😍

Content: After walking through Entrèves, with the magic of the snow and taking many photos, we headed to La Thuile, another beautiful village at the foot of Mont Blanc, right on the border with France. The real reason why we went to La Thuile, however, is "Chocolat" one of the best chocolate shops in Italy. There you can find chocolate for all tastes: chocolates, sweets and biscuits made with chocolate, hot chocolate of all kinds and much more. The ideal place to warm up on cold winter afternoons 🥰

Content: As the first stop of the day we chose the main center of the Lower Aosta Valley, a lively town that develops around its main monument and symbol: the spectacular Roman bridge. Do not miss the San Giacomo square, the church and the castle of Baraing, a panoramic point. For lunch we had a sandwich in a local bar.

Content: We then decided to visit another castle, the most romantic and fairytale one: Castel Savoia. Here too it takes about an hour and a half to visit it and the cost is € 5.

Content: On returning from the visit to the castle we stopped in a beautiful village that we had seen on the way: Fontainemore, consisting of numerous well-preserved villages. Symbols of the village are the stone bridge and the Guillemore Ravine.

Content: The last day arrived and we left our apartment. However, we decided to take advantage of the day to visit some more places. We headed to Bard, famous for the fort and the village of the same name. Inside the fort there are several paid museums, and the basic ticket includes access to the fort and a visit to one of these museums of your choice: this ticket costs € 8 If you want to visit the fort and all the museums inside, the total price is € 24

Content: After visiting the fort we decided to see the village of Bard, small and built among the rocks but very nice. After seeing the village, we unfortunately left for home and our journey was over.
