Content: After a pretty long train ride from Munich, Germany, we finally arrived in Rome! Thankfully, the train served snacks, beverages and even light meals. Great wifi on board!

Content: We booked two rooms at Opera 58 Hotel, which is just a short walk from the train station. My boyfriend’s parents also joined us on this trip. Very clean and comfy! The host was really nice and always available on WhatsApp.
Content: What better place to enjoy gelato in Rome other than the Trevi Fountain! There are many shops serving ice cream nearby so pick one that looks interesting and make a wish!
Content: Great place to enjoy some wine and delicious Italian food! Be prepared for some long waiting times as the place gets really crowded for dinner. However, it’s all very worth it!
Day 2 - 12 Oct 2021
Content: Started the day with a walk around the neighborhood and stumbled upon the Bank of Italy (second picture). Hands down one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen for a bank.
Content: This 16th century palace once belonged to the Doria family. Today, this place is an art gallery hosting their private collection.

Content: Stopped by the museum coffee shop for a late lunch. We had cappuccinos, Italian pastries and pastas!

Content: Ended the day with a quick visit to the Spanish Steps!

Content: The Pantheon is one of the best-preserved of all Ancient Roman buildings! The famous artist Raphael is actually buried here.
Content: While we didn’t go inside The Colosseum this time around, we definitely wanted to check out the exterior and it was so worth it! There are many coffee shops around the area if you want to stop by for a drink.

Content: This area has so many beautiful small churches and cathedrals just minutes away from each other. Definitely worth exploring as the architectural details in each one of these places are absolutely stunning.

Content: Hands down the best eggplant parmigiana that I’ve ever had!
Content: One of the most stunning art galleries that I’ve ever seen! It hosts works of art by Titian, Bernini, Rubens and many more.
Content: Came back to the Colosseum to admire the nearby Roman ruins! Had a great time walking around and reading about the history of this area.

Content: Started the day at the Roman Forum. So much history to learn about here so I definitely recommend an audio guide.
Content: If you enjoy seafood, this place is a must!

Content: I recommend making a list of all the spots that you want to visit while here as there are so many museums and so much to do/see! Definitely need more than 1 day to explore everything.

Content: Beautiful palazzo hosting ancient Roman art!
Content: Couldn’t leave Rome without trying out some pizza. Definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for some delicious food near the Trevi fountain.
Content: Said goodbye to Rome while visiting the Trevi Fountain one more time.
