Content: I recommend not to stick on a strict itinerary but, first of all, enjoy the city by exploring the hundreds of narrow streets, canals and eventually get lost. You will anyway head to Rialto Bridge, a huge white bridge with a lot of typical souvenir shops.

Content: An Insta-famous and unmissable place is Libreria Acqua Alta, particularly famous for a books staircase where people is really willing to wait in a long que to take an amazing shot (I did it, indeed 😉). At the Libreria you can also buy a nice postcard to send to your beloved ones, pet the cute cats finding refuge in the library or buy an interesting book, nicely assembled on a boat in the middle of the library.

Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo

Venezia, Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo

Content: This is another famous bridge of Venice, and the story behind it is very interesting as well. The legend tells that the bridge got this name as it was where people walked on their way to jail and they would "sight" for the last time because it was the most beautiful view of Venice.

Content: The square is beautiful, but always too crowded in my opinion. If you want to get nice photos without tourists around, I recommend going there early in the morning. A few steps out of San Marco Square there is the Riva degli Schiavoni.

Venice, Grand Canal

Content: Another experience not to be missed is the Gondola ride. Who has never wanted to take a ride in the Gondola, the traditional wooden boats that can be seen everywhere among the Venetian canals, perhaps with a beautiful gondolier who sings us a serenade? Generally, the cost of a 30-minute ride in the Gondola varies from € 80 - during the day - to € 100 - at nightfall. But, if you can't afford this 'not really cheap experience' you can still have this magnificent experience for only 2 Euros. How?! There is a 'Gondola Ferry' service that allows you to cross the Grand Canal for only 2€. The ride only takes a few minutes, but it is definitely a fun and extremely convenient way to make this experience.
