Day 1 - 9 Jun 2019
Content: We started our journey by reaching our accommodation, an apartment not far from all the places we want to visit! We made this choice for convenience and to save money, also having the possibility to cook.
Day 1 - 9 Jun 2019
Content: After arranging our things we decided to go to Rapallo, one of the many beautiful Ligurian towns. You can take a beautiful walk along the promenade, where there is also an ancient castle.
Content: When it was time for dinner we headed to a local restaurant. Being in a seaside place we tried some fish dishes that were really delicious!
Day 2 - 10 Jun 2019
Content: Finally our journey really begins and we dedicate the first days to the Cinque Terre, one of the most beautiful areas in Italy. First we headed to Monterosso, particularly known for the famous rock in the middle of the sea.
Day 2 - 10 Jun 2019
Content: We then decided to take a ferry that took us to another town in the Cinque Terre: Vernazza. We got lost in the streets of this beautiful village and climbed up to its tower, from which there is a breathtaking view.
Content: When it was time for lunch we chose this beautiful typical trattoria, right in the streets of the village. You must absolutely try the spaghetti allo scoglio and the trofie with pesto (typical Ligurian dish)
Day 2 - 10 Jun 2019
Content: We then took the ferry again to return to Monterosso and enjoy the afternoon on the beach, where there is a wonderful sea.
Content: Before returning to the apartment for dinner we decided to have an aperitif with typical products: Ligurian wine and bruschetta with tomatoes with the famous pesto
Day 3 - 11 Jun 2019
Content: Also this day we decided to dedicate it to the Cinque Terre and the first stop was Manarola, in my opinion the most beautiful village among all 5. The most beautiful part is certainly the port, with the colorful houses that seem to emerge from the sea.
Day 3 - 11 Jun 2019
Content: If you go to the Cinque Terre you cannot miss this place! There is a wonderful view and you can taste typical things, such as the famous Ligurian focaccia.
Day 3 - 11 Jun 2019
Content: In the afternoon we went to another beautiful village in the Cinque Terre: Riomaggiore. Here too the colors of the houses are wonderful and the village is full of beautiful streets full of small shops.
Day 4 - 12 Jun 2019
Content: We started the day by visiting the last village of the Cinque Terre: Corniglia. This is the smallest of all 5 but it is also one of the most beautiful, full of delightful alleys. Particularly famous for the production of lemons you will see them in every corner.
Day 4 - 12 Jun 2019
Content: In the afternoon we then visited Portovenere, also known as the "sixth land". It is a wonderful village overlooking the crystal clear sea. Here you cannot get lost: the Church of San Pietro, the Grotta di Byron and the Doria Castle. I also recommend taking a boat trip to admire Portovenere from the sea and see the surrounding islands and caves.
Day 5 - 13 Jun 2019
Content: On the fifth day we decided to relax and spend a whole day at the beach. I recommend you go to the Bay of Silence, in Sestri Levante. A beautiful bay, with many colorful houses and a crystal clear sea. There is the possibility to rent an umbrella or save money and adapt to the free beach. For lunch, in the surroundings, you will find many different places; we got some focaccia in a rotisserie near the bay.
Day 6 - 14 Jun 2019
Content: Durante questa giornata ci siamo spostati nella famosa città di Genova. For lunch I recommend that you go into one of the many bakeries because this is the home of focaccia.
Day 6 - 14 Jun 2019
Content: After a tour downtown we headed to the aquarium, one of the most beautiful in the world and the largest in Europe. To visit it takes about half a day, inside you are immersed in a world of emotions. You can live the extraordinary experience of a walk among dolphins, sharks and hundreds of other species that populate the planet. A real dive into biodiversity! Tickets: The online price starts from €22 The price at the checkout is around €27
Day 7 - 15 Jun 2019
Content: On the last day we wanted to visit one of the most "vip" places in Italy: the bay of Portofino. This place is coveted by famous people from all over the world and when you set foot there you understand why! A beautiful bay, with a blue sea, surrounded by a lot of nature. The prices in this place are very high, so be careful, but it's really worth it! Stroll through the famous square, with the colorful harbor, visit the Castello Brown, a sixteenth-century fortress with an adjoining museum and arrive at the lighthouse. An unforgettable experience that made our return home even sadder!
