Day 4 - 4 Apr 2022
Content: Add a new country to your list by visiting the Vatican. This incredible venue, where part of the movie Angels and Demons was also filmed, has plenty of things to visit. It is incredibly beautiful, and the view from the dome is magical.
Day 4 - 4 Apr 2022
Content: Inside St. Peter's Basilica you will feel like an ant, everything is giant, shiny and mystical. It is something unique to experience.
Content: It is worth climbing to the top of the dome to see this view of the entire city of Rome. The dome is panoramic so you will have a 360° access. You can go up by elevator + 300 stairs +- : 10€. Or just stairs: about 500 I took the elevator and seriously, the best 2€ invested of my life. If you have any leg injury, sprain, break, or back pain, it will be difficult to climb because there are excessively narrow and very steep parts, so I recommend being relatively fit or in good physical condition to access the dome.
Content: As an extra and if you're a curious person, There are excursions to the Necropolis underneath the Vatican. It's about 1'30h. It is forbidden to take pictures inside, but the experience will stay with you for the rest of your life. I honestly teleported myself to a bygone era, seeing it so ancient, so close up, a complete immersion experience only for the most adventurous. If you are claustrophobic, I do not recommend it.
