Content: Croatia was always on my bucket list and I had high expectations for this country but it absolutely exceeded it! I took my mother for a nice break and I would say its a must visit for all travel lovers. You will find wonderful nature, stunning architecture, friendly people and best food here. Short just over 2 hours flight from London Stansted airport with Ryanair and we landed in Zadar airport. Rental car pick up from Sixt company and we on the way to explore this beautiful country!

Content: Check in to Rooms Ana apartments. Lovely apartments in a quite neighbourhood. Few minutes to the beach promenade and restaurants. New building, nice spacious room, comfortable bed, balcony, parking, lovely and helpful host.

Content: Lovely dinner at this restaurant around 5 min walk from apartments. Lovely service and best seafood! Try Octopus salad and fish soup! Note: portions are very generous!

Jadrolinija Ferry Terminal
Content: Long sleep after journey and quick ride to Split harbour for a 50min ferry ride to Brač island. Breakfast at the ferry. Ferry tickets booked online and costs 440 kuna ( around €60) for 2 people and a middle size car.

Golden Horn Beach
Content: Famous Zlatni Rat beach! After reading many negative comments how crowded it is we still decided to give it a go. Maybe because its September but it was ok, there were people of course, however its a massive beach and we found a lot of space and everyone was social distancing. We glad that we went - its really a beautiful beach with lovely clear green water. For lunch we had lovely fried seafood from one of many local stands there. Lots of selections - fruits, desserts, juice, smoothies, seafood, fast food etc.

Stina Winery
Content: Wine tasting ( for Mom as Im driving) and sunset in this awesome winery overlooking sea! Highly reccommend to visit this local place in Bol village for some great wine tasting and lovely snacks + wonderful views.

Content: Walking around Old town of Split! Historical and cultural center of Croatia is beautiful! You will be welcomed by maze of streets and Roman architecture! Lovely market to buy some souvenirs next to Diocletians Palace. Note: Its really busy area. Tip: Go go Triklinij square to get unique perspective for your photo with back view of the Cathedral tower.

Content: Dinner at Obid restaurant in Brela. One of our favourite place on this vacation! Food is to die for! Small waterfront restaurant with the most funny and attentive servers! We has octopus salad, fresh sea fish, lamb chops and yammy mocktails! They also have amazing selection of wine!

Content: Slow beach day for us. You know sometimes you just need to unwind, put your phone down, shut your brain, dont rush anywehere and just listen to waves crashing sound! You can buy delicious cocktails or other drinks from Lero Beach bar and take them to the beach! (return glassware after). Which is amazing! Note: its a steep walk from the apartment if you want to reach beach short cut. However my mom had knee replacement and she still managed. Tip: most beaches in Croatia are stony, however just have water shoes or socks and you will be fine!

Content: Quick lunch at the fuel station as we have long way to go. After around 3 hours ride we arrive to National Park. We booked tickets online a night before and it did cost us 500 kuna (around 70 euro) for two. Parking costs 10 kuna ( around 1.40 euro) an hour. Motorway to get here was not free : 110 kuna ( around 15 euro) .

Content: One of the most beautiful place on Earth! If you decide to visit Croatia - dont miss this place, even if you have limited time. This was our highlight of the holiday and absolutely took our breath away! Croatia's largest national park covering almost 30,000 hectares. Stunning scenerey dominated by mix of lakes system, forests, waterfalls, caves makes you feel like in Avatar movie! Forests are home to many birds, wolves and bears! The water is so bright due to minerals and also angle of sunshine! One minute is clear blue and another is saphire green! Its true wonder of a nature! Its the place where you feel completely free and connected to our beautiful mother Earth! 💚

Content: Dinner (more seafood) at Plima restaurant by the beach only around 10 minutes walk from the villa. Restaurant accepts cash only. Lovely and quiet last night. I would recommend this area( Brela) for couples looking for a romantic time or anyone who just want to chill or unwind. If you are after nightlife - bigger cities are better for parties.
