Content: Established in the 1500s, Valletta is the capital city of Malta. It offers something for all ages and tastes, and is the best place to be based while vacationing on the Maltese Islands. Therefore, our trip itinerary starts here! Valletta is quite busy during the day since many offices are based here, and more relaxed at night, with winebars and cafés offering a laid-back atmosphere.
Content: The Upper Barrakka Gardens offer the best views in Valletta. Take a moment to stroll around the beautiful flower beds, particularly in Spring and Summer, and witness the gun salute at noon and 4pm every day. A cafeteria is found in the gardens to satisfy one's thirst or just provide a simple snack.

Content: This building houses the Office of the President. It is also a site of great historic value, housing the Palace State Rooms, where one can see important paintings and remnants of Maltese political history, and the Palace Armoury. During Christmas time, one can watch Chrsitmas light displays on the Palace facade in St George's Square.
Content: Roam around the streets of Valletta at sunset (best sunset viewpoint is definitely Girolamo Cassar street overlooking the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities). At night, Valletta's street life comes alive, particularly during Christmas time where the streets are adorned with the most dazzling Christmas light displays and when Christmas carols are playing all day long. They are usually installed from the 3rd week of November until the beginning of January.
Content: Muża Restaurant, housed in the National Museum of Arts, offers a variety of traditional Maltese dishes which complement the Museum's artifacts. Offers both al fresco and inside dining in a charming setting.
