Content: Welcome to Bar, Montenegro! We arrived to Bar by a private car from Saranda, Albania. We decided to hire a private car, because we had a lot of luggage and there were no direct buses to Montenegro due to COVID-19. Our driver coordinated with the driver in Montenegro and after we crossed the border we got picked up and we arrived to Bar on the second day.

Content: We arrived to Bar late in the evening. We found an apartment on Facebook and rented it. It was the best choice for us because we wanted to spend more time in Bar. We wanted to cook our own meals and feel like home. We payed 350 € per month. It was a beautiful new apartment downtown Bar.

Content: We love exploring new places, that is why the next day after we arrived we went to see what Bar has to offer. The first stop was Bar Marina. It appeared to be our sunset spot later on. There is a nice park nearby with a lot of different cafes and restaurants by the water. If you just want to get outside and enjoy a walk by the water, it is definitely a place to go.

Content: This is our favorite place to have lunch in Bar. We usually order club sandwich and coffee. The place is truly beautiful, gorgeous view out of the window, the stuff is very friendly and polite. The prices are good, definitely recommended.

Old Olive Tree

Content: The Old Olive Tree is the great place to visit. This tree is more than 2000 years old. The price to enter is 1€ per person and 50cents for children. You will probably spend there 20 minutes. It is probably 40 minutes walking from downtown. However, you can always take a taxi.

Content: From the Old Olive Tree it is nice to take a walk to the fortress. It is a bit of a hike, but the views from the top are incredible! The mountains and you can even see the sea. The entrance fee is about $2 per person. On your way to the fortress you will pass some cafes and restaurants, but be aware the prices are for the tourists.

Content: When you are visiting the fortress you can also go down to the Olive Tree Plantation, it will take you about 15-20 minutes to get there. It is very pretty there, a nice place to have a picnic or just simply walk around, take photos.

Content: Take a day trip to Podgorica. We took a train from Bar to Podgorica. It was super easy, affordable, and convenient. The trains are nice, it took us about two hours to get to the city.

Content: This place is called Pizza Pepe if you put it in Google Maps. The pizza was so good, we loved it. The place is cute and small, has great music.

Millenium Bridge

Content: This bridge is one of of the places to go and see. Podgorica is not a big city even though it is a capital of the country. It is easy to walk around and get to places you want.

Zeppelin Lounge Bar & Pub

Content: Another cool place to visit is this place in the capital. When we were there it was closed for public, but you could walk in the park there.

Content: After spending a day in Podgorica, we took a train back to Bar. The trains depart every 2 hours, but better check at the train station because the timetable may change due to holidays or other things.

Content: Taking another trip in Montenegro. We decided to go to Kotor from Bar. We hired a driver for $15 and it took us about an hour to get to Kotor. On our way we stopped at Sveti Stefan for a quick picture. As we were there during the lockdown, we were not able to go down to the castle. The driver said that it costs about $20 to visit the place.

Content: When we arrived to Kotor the first thing we did was we stopped off the the cafe to get some coffee. The cafe was very nice, comfy, and warm. The coffee was delicious and the price was 1,5€.

Content: Our Airbnb was in Old Kotor, very nice area to walk around and feel the history of this place. We were so fortunate to be there before Christmas, the atmosphere was just magical.

Content: This is our hotel for the night, it is called Djukic-be lla. We paid $21 per night, we had everything we needed. The location was great and we really enjoyed staying here.

Content: This is the place we went for lunch before a hike. The pizza was really delicious, we truly enjoyed it. It may be not that easy to find it from the first time, because there are a lot of small places like this one and the streets are very narrow.

Content: This place is absolutely incredible! Definitely worth the hike. It took us about an hour to get to the top. The entrance was free, because it was not the season. No one was there to sell the tickets. It can get windy at the top, so make sure you have a hat or a light jacket.

Content: After our hike we decided to walk down to Marina. It was very beautiful walk down there. You can hire a bout, a tour on the lake and enjoy your time.

Content: After our hike we came to our hotel and rested for some time. In the evening we decided to go out and walk around the Old Town and the city Walls. We spent only one night in Kotor that is why we went to bed early before taking a bus to another city early in the morning.

Content: Welcome to Tivat! Early in the morning we took a bus from Kotor to Tivat. The ride was about 15 minutes, because it is just on the other side of the bay.

Content: When we arrived to Tivat, we started our day with coffee at this corner cafe. The coffee was great and the price was good of course.

Content: We walked to the Tivat Marina, checked out the boats, little shops and decided to take a bus to Budva. We took a 2€ taxi to the bus station from downtown Tivat and bought the bus tickets.

Content: We arrived to Budva in about 40 minutes by bus. It was close to lunch time and we decided to eat before exploring the city. We found this restaurant by just walking down the street, there were many people eating lunch and we decided to give it a try. And we loved it. We highly recommend it to you guys, the location is great , it is not far from the bus station, it is actually on your way to the Old Budva.

Content: Old Town in Budva is a must visit place. You can definitely walk from the bus station, you will pass many restaurants, beaches, and will on the boardwalk. You can go inside the castle for a small fee. ( do not remember exact price, but if you check out our YouTube video you will definitely find this info). It is very pretty at the top and kina romantic, when we were there the guy was playing the guitar, a couple was dancing... Around 4 pm we went back to the bus station and went back to Bar, to our apartment.
