Day 1 - 1 Aug 2019
Content: Starting our trip we took a 8hr United Airlines Flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to Lajes International Airport. Small nice looking airport with snacks and coffee shops.
Content: With a 30min drive from airport we checked-in to a hotel. The hotel was sea facing, the view were amazing and staff was very helpful.
Content: After breakfast. With a 20min drive we reached Biscoitos, which produces fortifies vines.
Content: Spending some hours in Biscoitos , we took a 30min drive to Quatros Ribeiras which has lava rocks and natural pool.
Content: It is a best military base of Portuguese air force base, where defence jets fly and some chartered Flights are scheduled.
Content: São Sebastian is also known as fortress of the Old Tower. The place has nothing like a wow factor in it.
Content: Returned back to hotel and had dinner in hotel itself, food was very delicious loved the service.
Day 2 - 2 Aug 2019
Content: Started hiking towards monte brasil which is tuff volcano which connects the south coast of Terceira in the central Azores. surrounded by beautiful, incredible, exotic plants and trees.Great place with a great view for a picnic.
Content: We had packed food for our dinner which we had in evening and headed back to our hotel after a sunset.
Day 3 - 3 Aug 2019
Content: Had breakfast and took a short 20min drive to Terceira Island from our hotel. Terceira Island is volcanic island. Great for scuba and other activities.

Content: Took a 1hr Azores Airlines flight from Lajes International Airport to Pico Airport, fantastic airport with great view to Pico mountain.
Content: With a 30min drive we reached our final destination which is Prainha village.

Content: Checked-in to a hotel, Location was great walking distance to beach. Clean rooms but some facility needs to be updated.
Content: After swimming at the pool we had lunch at the pool side restaurant, food is good the lift denotes the status of restaurant if its working the restaurant is open.
Content: Went for a walk at the nearby beach which was connected with hotel and had drinks on beach watching sunset. A evening well spent.
Day 4 - 4 Aug 2019
Content: The pickup car was late so we planned for Lagoa da Rosada instead of whale watch. Lagoa da Rosada is a volcanic lake which can be seen from road. Watched wild Horses amazing view. Foggy weather can affect the view.
Content: Taking a 30min drive from Lagoa da Rosada, we reached Lagoa do Capitão, small simple pond with native flora. It offers pure nature in the mountains.
Content: Had a short ride to Museum of vine located in Madalena. The museum offers small vine tour in the premises. Place which provides lots of information on vine.
Content: Returning back to our accommodation we stopped for a dinner good view, mind blowing taste with good portion.
Day 5 - 5 Aug 2019
Content: After breakfast we took a boat ride to Museu dos Baleeirosn which is also known as museum of whalers. A well organised and small museum.
Content: After watching museum we headed towards north island, we saw 2 sperm Whales and lots of different Dolphins. Watching documentary at museum encourages to watch Whales.
Content: Headed towards Agriturismo which is basically a farmhouse, we were invited here for lunch by other members who explored Whale watching tour with us. The food was cooked by the locals and was awesome, personally we loved the smoky flavour. We spent our rest of the day with them.
Day 6 - 6 Aug 2019
Content: Starting our hiking towards Mount Pico which is a Stratovolcano located on Pico island. The view from top is spectacular, unforgettable experience.
Content: We were very hungry after hiking, so we visited Tasca "O Petisca for lunch, we ordered white sangria and Atlantic salad must try.
Content: With a 10min drive we reached Gruta das Torres Madalena known as Lava Cave and largest lava tube, the caves can only visited with guided tour, check before proceeding.
Content: Visited Vineyard Culture Interpretation Centre known as CIPCVIP, it is a exhibition which introduces to Vineyard Culture in Pico.
Day 7 - 7 Aug 2019
Content: We flew for 1hr To São Miguel Island known for akes, beaches, land, century-old architecture, majestic scenery. small airport and easy to transit.
Content: Checked-in to hotel, which was 30min far from airport, location was far from noise only nature and waves sound were there.The staff was very helpful and kind.
Content: Went for a dinner at the resort itself, after exploring the place. The restaurant was good we had Beef and Champagne.
Day 8 - 8 Aug 2019
Content: Had breakfast which was amazing but was not included in the amount, we had to pay extra. Later on we took a 1hr drive and reached Ponta da Ferraria which is a natural hot spring and a tourist attraction, where we had swimming . The views were worth, without even swimming.
Content: Taking a 20min drive we reached Sete Cidades which is a massive volcanic crater, walked along crater and one cannot flip his eye once watching this.
Content: A place worth watching blue lake and green lake together in one shot.
Content: Headed further for taking more views of Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Verde. The view never satisfies.
Content: A day full of fun, later at night we had dinner at the hotel itself. Non-veg is recommended don't go for vegetarian.
Day 9 - 9 Aug 2019
Content: Waked up late so started hiking early afternoon to Lagoa do Fogo, a lake within an extinct volcano crater, smell of flora on the way.
Content: Later that evening , we visited Gorreana which are tea manufacturers. The tea plantation is worth watching here. They produce Black tea and Green tea.
Content: Had amazing cooked meat for Dinner, and steaks were also very delicious, nice ambiance. Need to book before arriving.
Day 10 - 10 Aug 2019
Content: We left early and took a short drive to João Paulo II Airport, from were we took a 20hr Air Portugal flight to Newark Liberty International Airport, which was end of our trip leaving Portugal behind. The flight was smooth and staff was very much dedicated towards there work.
