Day 1 - 6 Apr 2021
Content: Departing from Lisbon Airport to this exciting trip! Can’t wait to show you the amazing places that are there to visit in Switzerland 😍
Day 1 - 6 Apr 2021
Content: Arriving to Switzerland! Zurich airport is not a big one, however it is SUPER organized and everything worked really quickly and smoothly.
Day 1 - 6 Apr 2021
Content: From the airport, you can take a train to wherever you want 😊 I started in Saint Gallen! I came here to visit a friend but I have to say that it is also a good place to visit in Switzerland if you have the time 😊
Content: In St. Gallen I stayed at a friend’s place. However she recommended me this hotel. She stayed there for a while and she really liked it 😊 Plus, it is pretty cheap for Switzerland! 💯 10/10
Content: A bit on the pricier side there is also this option. It is an incredible hotel with high quality rooms, really nice staff and great location! It is also famous in the area for being really good. 💯 10/10
Day 2 - 7 Apr 2021
Content: Starting the day visiting the famous St. Gallen Cathedral! Even if you are not into religion, this is a nice place to visit. Everything is so clean and well preserved! 💯 10/10
Content: Time to walk! By having a walk in the city you can already tell how living in Switzerland looks like: everything super organized and relaxing 🤗 After some minutes, you can arrive to this viewpoint with a huge view over the whole city and even the lake Konstanz (on your right)! I did this in winter and it was VERY cold, so be aware of that 😅 Ps: This viewpoint is located right in front of the Drei Weieren, where we went next. 💯 10/10
Content: In the same area as the viewpoint, you have the Drei Weieren, which is a park with 3 ponds! It is a place full of nature and famous during the summer since people swim here 😊 Plus, you can have a walk around the forest, it is really beautiful as you can see from the photos! 🌳 💯 10/10
Content: Coming back to the city you have cute shops and malls! But one famous street that is interesting to take a look at is the Red Square! This is actually a street that is FULLY covered with a red giant “carpet”. How different is that? 😅
Content: If you like HOT WINE this is the place (and even if you don’t you should give it a try!). The bar itself is really cool and the wine is amazing. Totally recommend it! 🍷 💯 10/10
Content: Well, this is not a typical Swiss restaurant. However it has a good quality-price relation, a great environment and food! Plus, you have happy hour everyday 🥰🥂 💯 8/10
Day 3 - 8 Apr 2021
Content: Time to start exploring te country! The easiest way to move around, if you don’t have a car, is by train. But I am not going to lie, it is NOT cheap (as well as everything in Switzerland 😅). I advise you to buy a train pass for several days. It is expensive but in the end, if you are visiting several places it pays off. Despite the prices, the trains are AMAZING as you can see. I’ve never traveled in such great conditions! 😊
Day 3 - 8 Apr 2021
Content: Arriving in Lugano! This city is in the Italian part of Switzerland, and you can tell that right away when you arrive there 😍 the vibe remembered me of Italy. Plus, you also have better weather here!
Content: You can reach the bay by walking from the train station. No need for transports! You also pass through the city and shopping streets (which are really cool since they are full of expensive shops that also give that Italian vibe). But the view you have over the lake is just stunning 😍😍
Content: One thing I TOTALLY recommend when going to Lugano is to take a boat trip! There are many touristic boats there (with flexible schedules). You can pass through several small villages and have a view over the mountains, lake and the city! Plus, if you buy the train pass I mentioned before, the boat trip is included! Totally in love with this experience 💙 💯 10/10
Content: Another must visit location in Lugano is this park! Famous for the gate that opens towards the lake 😍 It is great to have a walk and relax. Plus, if you come here during spring/summer you can see these beautiful flowers and tulips! How beautiful is this landscape? 👌 💯 10/10
Content: Coming back to the train station, is time to go to another destination for the next days! Don’t forget to enjoy the views over the ride 😍
Day 3 - 8 Apr 2021
Content: Arriving in Luzern! When you leave the train station you can already get a wonderful view of the city 🇨🇭👌
Day 3 - 8 Apr 2021

Day 6 - 11 Apr 2021
Content: Taking a train to the next destination: Zurich! This is going to be a long ride, so make sure you rest 😊
Content: Checking in a new hotel! This hotel was one of my favorites during the whole trip. The staff was really nice, helpful and the room itself very comfortable and spacious. Plus, the breakfast was also very nice. Totally recommend it 🥰 💯 10/10
Day 7 - 12 Apr 2021

Day 7 - 12 Apr 2021

Day 9 - 14 Apr 2021
Content: After a few days in the city, it is time to go back to nature again. Next stop: Appenzell 🙌 It is not really well known, but I swear it is worth a visit!

However, every little house and hotel is traditional and special! 😍 This one more specifically is well located, very clean, comfortable and spacious. When I came here, since I booked in advance I had the chance to get a lower price than usual, so make sure you do the same 😊 💯 10/10

Content: It is time to say goodbye to this small yet AMAZING country 🇨🇭 This trip is an expensive one, however the experience was just amazing and, also, you can’t find the safety and beauty that you encounter there everywhere… Overall, I totally loved visiting Switzerland and I wish I can go back there another day to explore the rest. There is still A LOT to see 🙌😍
