Content: I would recommend staying in Machico, as it’s closest to the airport and a not too central of a town but still busy enough to find everything you need in one place.

Content: This is an amazing beach to visit because even though it’s covered with it’s natural volcanic lack sand the water is so crystal clear it’s beautiful There is however a bit of a hike to reach there, it takes around 10 min to go down, but to come up can be more challenging and take 20 min. There is an accessible road and steps available
Content: Perfect restaurante for lunch, with amazing delicious food at a great price. It’s also fast at serving food

Content: A great beach to finish off the day that also has an amazing bar that serves snacks a, cocktails and other drinks. It’s a pebble beach and also has a pier for diving

Content: Pack your swim suits as there is a beach at the end And you can easily just spend the day here, there is a restaurant at the end, but you can pack your snacks and water

Content: This is a very easy and small hike that takes 30 min to reach the end and you get to a suspended bridge with an incredible view point.

Content: Visit Funchal which is the city centre of the island worth visiting for sure. This is one of the oldest markets and super beautiful to see all the fruits and flowers. But just be aware that because it’s so famous it can be a tourist trap so don’t really recommend buying anything there.
Content: Great restaurant close to the cable cars so you can eat some amazing food before going up to the monte
Content: Take the ride on the cable cars all the way up to Monte. The view is also amazing from them and totally recommend

Content: Amazing waterfall that fall into the old road. This is not that exact waterfall but this is on the same road. But the waterfall is an incredible natural part of the island that it’s amazing to witness. It can be a bit crowded these days due to being a quite famous spot

Content: Go watch the sunrise above the clouds And experience like no other. You can also watch at sunset time, but it can get a bit more crowded, so sunrise is less people

Content: These pools are incredible as they are natural and accessible. Great fun for the whole family and you can stay there for the whole day. There is a small entry fee but but definitely worth the visit. Don’t forget to pack a parasol as it can get very hot

Content: Enjoy this beautiful island - it’s possible to do one day trips.. but we would recommend at least 2 days. It has incredible view points, the most amazing beach and lovely people Best ways to get around is by scooter, bicycle or walking.. if you have a car rental you can bring it along in the boat as well

Content: Before leaving we recommend trying these ice creams. They are home made flavours, and are typical from Porto Santo. Their flavours vary from day to day and are limited. Definitely worth a try
Content: Get the evening boat back to Madeira this way you get sort of an extra day in the island and you will be back by 11pm

Content: Flying back home time We definitely recommend visiting this island as it is affordable and is incredible nature, from amazing beaches, to incredible hikes & and forests. Being a tropical island this small but mighty island offers the best of all worlds and it’s gastronomy is truly delicious.
