Content: Take a cruise on the Duoro and enjoy the view. You can taste the local Porto wine and take amazing photos. We recommend the Sandeman cellar in particular. Sunset cruises are also amazing.

Restaurante Casario

Content: The location of this restaurant is half the reason why we ate here. It is located on the Ribeira which gives it a phenomenal view of Vila Nova de Gaia and the wine factories. This restaurant is rather upscale which you will notice in the service, smaller portions and overall quality of the food. For an appetizer we shared a cheese plate of Queijo da Serra da Estrela, which is known for being one of porto's gastronomic delights. For the main course, we ordered the bacalhau à gomes de sá (a codfish casserole) and Amêijoas à Bulhão Pato (clams served on a sauce derived from from olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and white wine accompanied by bread)

Content: The tram will take you to the beach! We had a cloudy day, but the view and farol were amazing. You can spend the day at the beach, the park or walking around but we decided to go back to the city center after a couple of hours to explore some more.

O Porto dos gatos

Content: Is a charming, vegan restaurant where you can interact with a dozen of cats that call this place home. They offer a daily lunch menu for 8 euro which includes a small appetizer, a main dish and a tea, coffee or lemonade. They also offer a vegan version of fransesihnas which is what we ordered. At the back of the restaurant, there is a patio and a room which is where the cats roam. The cats are accustumed to humans so they are more outgoing than the average feline. You can spend as long as you want interacting with the kitties once you are done with your meal or drink.

In front of this church there are a lot of restaurants with local food. We also found a “all you can eat sushi” at Sushi Battousai next door

Content: Walk through the park and enjoy the gardens, art shows and general vibe of this amazing place! From the top you will be able to see the city and the coast. We had a picnic and enjoyed the hot summer day. There is a great restaurant with a fountain where you can walk barefoot and cool down.

Content: One of the best museums we have visited! The collection is incredible and vast. But the gardens steal the show! You can spend the day wondering around and just enjoying all the styles and moods they create, a must see. Tickets are 10€ or free Sundays after 14h

Content: Walk around the plaza and the Rossio station. Inside the station there are escalators that take you up to the hill so you don’t have to talk up. We found a bar and enjoyed a football match with the locals, totally recommend the experience.

Content: Enjoy the view from the top of the elevator. There is no need to pay to go up. You can walk to Largo do Carmo and you will be right at the top. There is a bar where you wan enjoy a cocktail and the sunset

Content: This restaurant focuses on dishes that originate in the Alentejo region as well as giving you an unique dining experience as the restaurant itself seems as it is a riad in marrakesh. We both got the Carne de porco à alentejana which essentially is pork meat prepared alongside clams, white wine, potatoes, paprika, bay leaf and garlic. We found this to be our most pleasant dinning experience in Lisbonne.

Content: Visit one of the newest places in the city. Filled with art galleries, stores, restaurants and outdoor spaces, LX factory is amazing. Plus it has many insta worthy spots you don’t want to miss. We had lunch there and a coffee and the amazing bookstore.

Content: Portugal is know for it’s azulejos (ceramic tiles) so this museums is really important. They teach you about the history, meanings, different styles and how it is made. Plus the building is really pretty and gives you a glimpse into the past. 5€

Content: Visit the museum and the neighborhood to get an idea of how the locals live. Perfect to walk around and enjoy the numerous view points

Content: The Tiger prawn is to die for! It was without a doubt the best part of our meal in this restaurant located in Carmo neighborhood. We also tried the grilled octopus which was delightful. The chocolate mousse makes a great desert. The restaurant is rather small so make sure to call in advance to make a reservation.

Content: This place is breathtaking. One of the most amazing places we have ever visited. It doesn’t disappoint with all its details and intricate architecture. Plus it played a really important part on the Portuguese history. 10€ or discounted 5€

Content: Walk along the peer to enjoy the view and the monument. It is huge and describes all the discoveries made by the Portuguese. They also have a world map on the floor where you wan see their routs and trips across time. We got to see dolphins and people enjoying their boat rides

Content: Just across the monastery you will find the Belem tower. A true gem. Around sunset you will find musicians, drinks, food trucks and a lot of live around the park. We spend the afternoon just sitting there and enjoying our last day in Portugal. The best way to end your tip 10/10

Zé da Mouraria

Content: This restaurant is well estabished and known across the city. When we visited we ordered a feijoada which is a mixture of beans, rice, orange and pork. We also got the Arroz de Pato (Duck rice) which came with bacon and portuguese chorizo. If you have space for the desert, we recommend the rice pudding. Keep in mind the portions are quite large to avoid getting too much food--just like we did-- although you can always take it to go.
