Day 1 - 20 Sep 2021
Content: I arrived at Porto airport around 3pm and decided to get the tram + metro into the centre of the city. This is the cheapest way to get to the centre, it takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes.
Day 1 - 20 Sep 2021
Content: The metro station stops right in front of the famous blue tiled train station!
Content: I booked an Airbnb next to the centre of Porto only 5 minutes walk away from popular sights like the cathedral and the train station. The famous bridge is 10 minutes walk (down some beautiful steps near the apartment). The apartment was clean and spacious. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and Netflix too! I only paid 50€ per night - a bargain!

Day 3 - 22 Sep 2021
Content: I woke up early this morning to see the beautiful blue tiled church with no one around! It’s definitely worth getting up earlier!
Content: This is such a beautiful library but it can get very busy… I suggested getting there early and buying the premium ticket. The premium ticket allows you to choose a book in the library and a fast pass to enter, whereas with the normal ticket you can be queuing outside for hours!!
Content: Just outside the library is this beautiful square!
Content: Right next to the square is this great coffee shop! The green interior is so pretty and the coffee was good!
Content: I’m a big photography fan so I loved this museum. It’s free and very close to the centre! I loved seeing the old vintage cameras.
Content: Just opposite this restaurant was a great brunch place! The dessert (banoffee pie) was to die for!

Day 4 - 23 Sep 2021
Content: The train took 45 minutes. Guimarães is a very cute and historical town. I enjoyed walking around the old centre.
Content: I bought a ticket to visit the ducs palace and the castle! They are both worth a visit and I loved the rocky castle outside. After this I went back to the train station with a taxi. It cost roughly 5€.
