Content: My adventure to Portugal started from the Lisbon Airport, I flew with a direct flight from Lamezia Terme, Italy and arrived in Lisbon in the morning

Content: First of all, I accommodated in my Airbnb to leave the luggage and recharge myself before starting exploring this beautiful city
Content: My first visit was in the city center, I went directly to the famous and beautiful Praça do Comércio in the Lisbon downtown. The 'Arco da Rua Augusta' from the 19th century gives access to the Square and the River Tagus and it's construction was completed in 1875 after the 1755 earthquake distructed part of the city.
Day 2 - 18 Jan 2021
Content: The best way to start an awesome day in the beautiful Lisbon is starting the morning with a good breakfast: coffee and Pastéis de Nata are an absolute must when in Portugal. Pastéis are the most typical sweets in Portugal, I tried the best in the Fábrica de Nata, a beautiful cafeteria where you can sit eating your Pastéis while watching the making in progress of these delicious desserts.
Content: The pink Street is an iconic Insta-famous spot in Lisbon. All the visitors should head to this place to take a photo of the colorful buildings, restaurants, decorarations and clearly the pink Street.
Content: Did you know that in Lisbon there is a bridge reminding the Golden Gate in San Francisco? One of the best viewpoints to the bridge is the hill where the statue of Cristo Rei is located.

Content: The statue of Cristo Rei remind the Christ in Rio de Janeiro. To reach the top of the hill you can go by bus n. 101, the ride takes around 20 minutes and the price is 8€.
Day 3 - 19 Jan 2021
Content: One of the most beautiful places to be visited in Lisbon is Belém. Here you can find the Belém tower rising on the Tejo River. From the tower, walking along the river you can reach the Padrão dos Descobrimentos.
Content: The Monument to the Discoveries is a commemorative monument to Henry the Navigator, who discovered the Azores, Madeira and Capo Verde. In the area you can also see squares, fountains and parks.
Content: This Portuguese restaurant is the perfect place to go if you want to taste delicious Portuguese food. My favourite dish was the Bacalao.
Day 4 - 20 Jan 2021
Content: Another unmissable spot with a breathtaking view on the red roofs is the Miradouro de Santa Luzia. From this terrace you can spot some of the most famous and historic buildings of the city.
Content: Convento do Carmo, partially destroyed by the earthquake of 1755. Today you can still see the archs and the external walls still on place. The roof have been destroyed and never rebuilt again. The ticket costs only 3,50 €
Content: In my to-do list, when I was in Lisbon, trying the typic Portuguese liqueur was one of my goals. Drinking shots of Ginja liqueur, served in small cups made of chocolate, was my favourite activity when in Lisbon. This liqueur, made from sour cherries, is available for tasting in every souvenir store or restaurants.
Day 5 - 21 Jan 2021
Content: When in Lisbon, its a must to spent one day trip to the beautiful city of Sintra. Easily reachable by train in a few hours, once in Sintra you can buy a ticket for the local busses, which lead you to the main attractions.
Content: The visit starts from Peña Palace, a beautiful and colourful castle where time seems to be stopped. You will feel like just jumped in a fairytale village. The visit to the interior of the Palace is around 15€, if you want to see the exterior only, ticket costs 7€.
Content: There is really so much beauty to see in Sintra and I recommend to go spending a few hours to Quinta da Regaleira. There you can walk in the endless garden, see the Palace and the iniciatic well.
Content: Also the city center has a lot of interesting places to offer, with its narrow streets and delicious souvenirs stores. Once you are there you cannot miss the typical liquor of Lisbon: Ginja.
Day 6 - 22 Jan 2021
Content: Om my 6th day in Portugal, I flew to Porto. I decided to spend a couple of days in this beautiful city before going back home.

Content: My accommodation in Porto has been booked through Airbnb. I included the address in this itinerary because I found the location very convenient to move around the city.
Content: My first goal in Porto was hunting the Azulejo tiles (blue tiles used to decorate the facades of most of the churches or interiors - this are considered the most emblematic representations of Porto history). Where to see Azulejo in Porto: 🔹Porto's Cathedral, 🔹São Bento Station 🔹Igreja do Carmo 🔹Capela das Almas 🔹Igreja de Santo Ildefonso.
Day 7 - 23 Jan 2021
Content: Another piece of art in Porto is the Half Rabbit located in Vila Nova de Gaia. This is a giant sculpture of a rabbit made of trash and recycled materials. The scalpture was created by the Portuguese artist Bordalo II, who often creates animal sculptures made of waste to increase environmental awareness.
Day 7 - 23 Jan 2021
Content: Can you believe this Insta-famous spot in Porto is on the side wall of a restauran? This colorful wall has been painted by the artist Joana Vasconcelos.
Content: The rest of the day has been spent walking and exploring the city, some unmissable places to see in Porto are: 🔹 Ponte Don Luis I 🔹 Porto's Cathedral 🔹 Ribera Some closing recommendations for you, dear travellers, is to eat a francesinha and go to Livraria Lello before opening hours (in case you are a fun of Harry Potter).
