Content: Albufeira at night is pure holiday feeling: Countless bars, night clubs and restaurants, street artists, shops, vendors with the beautiful beach right in front of the city. Just stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere!

Content: Rio de Janeiro ? No, Lisbon! Entering Lisbon, before the bridge, you'll find this big statue greeting you next to the highway. It's on top of a hill and offers beautiful views upon the city. So let's make a stop there!
Content: Right next to the statue you'll find this awesome view point onto the city and the famous Ponte 25 Abril bridge. Looks a little like the golden gate Bridge right? Parking is right next to the view point, so a little detour onto there is definitely worth it!

Content: Time to taste the greatest that Lisbon has to offer: The original Pastel de Belém pastry tastes best still warm with some cinnamon on top of it accompanied by a coffee or tea. Hungry yet?
Content: Portugal was the countries of discoverers and explorers. This monument remembers the big sailors of the glorious times of Portugal! It's located right next to the water where you'll have the view towards the Ponte 25 Abril bridge and is perfect to walk towards the Jeronimos Monastery and the Belem tower!

Content: Today's all about the views. Did you know Lisbon is known for awesome miradouros (view points in Portuguese)? There are around 30 of them all over the city. Why that many? Because the city lays on seven hills, it's geographically given for beautiful sights. So let's explore some of the best ones today!

Content: Let's start with this famous elevator that brings you up on the roof tops right in the middle of Lisbon. This iconic place is located near cafes and shopping streets. Perfect place to start the day!
Content: Let's head to the next view point on foot or by the famous Lisbon cable car train. This place is perfect for your Instagram photos!
Content: This Nnxt view point gives you another great view towards the Ponte 25 Abril bridge Also, it's located on this beautiful 11th century moorish castle that you can explore better too.
Content: This is the one spot for you to be for sunset. This is where the locals meet. So make sure to bring some refreshing drinks and your camera and just enjoy the last Sundays of the day. Also, it's only about a 4 minute walk to our last destination today!

Content: Bairro Alto is the one place to go to celebrate deep into the night! This is were locals meet for drinks and where the best night clubs and bars in the city are. Bring some stamina, because the Portuguese party until the sun come back up again!

Content: The place to stay tonight with a bar and pool on the rooftop!
Content: First, let's start with some sightseeing. This beautiful bridge is so unique. Did you know that it was designed by the same architect that made the Eiffel tower? The top of the bridge is for the train and pedestrians, the bottom for cars and pedestrians.

Content: Right on top of the hill next to the Luis I bridge lays this monastery. It's architecture is impressive and even more so the view onto Porto and the famous bridge!

Content: Time to get back down to the river. Let's stroll along the quai and justarvel at the city on the other side of the river. For lunch, there are countless restaurants on both sides that offer a lunch with a great view!

Content: Time to taste that famous, sweet port wine now! There are several wineries on the Vila Nova the Gaia side of the river such as Sandeman or Caves Calém that all offer wine tastings and tours. There's also the possibility to combine wine tasting with a river cruise on the Douro river which I really recommend!

Content: The azulejos are what makes Portuguese architecture so beautiful. In Porto many churches (like the Carmo church in the first photo), buildings and walls are decorated with these beautiful painted tiles. They are perfect for beautiful photos! Even a train station has these azulejos: São Bento station. This is one of the most beautiful train stations in the country. I mean just look at that decoration. Perfect for even more cute photos!

Content: Time to explore this beautiful city! Just get to the city center and walk towards the sea front and you'll see many beautiful corners and streets!
Content: Let's climb up. But comfortably in a cable car. And this is what you'll find on top: Not only this beautiful church but also this breathtaking view onto the city and coast line below.
Day 6 - 12 Aug 2021
Content: Last stop today before heading to Portugal's National Park. This is just breathtaking right? It's located outside the city of Braga and is a religious neoclassical complex with churches, gardens and almost 600 steps. If you're feeling lazy you can also take the elevator. ;) A little more on top, there's another beautiful religious complex with yet another breathtakingly beautiful view, as you can see in the last photo. It's called the Sameiro sanctuary.
Day 6 - 12 Aug 2021
Content: Time to get some rest. Let's get a little closer to the people and to nature. The locals are very friendly and helpful, so there's no worries in booking an Airbnb in or around the Peneda Gerês National Park for the last nights!
Day 7 - 13 Aug 2021
Content: Time for nature in Gerês national park!! It's well know for it's beautiful waterfalls. This one is one of the most beautiful in my opinion and very easy to access. After parking the car next to the street, it's just about a 10 minute walk up the hill to the waterfall.

Content: In for more adventure? This waterfall you'll only get close to when you climb down towards the river bed and walk through some rocks. Bring some good shoes and always remain cautious. Once there you get rewarded with this wonderful sight and a perfect place to sunbathe and to go for a swim in the cool water.

Content: This village is right out of a mediaval history book: A beautiful castle, old cobble stone streets and the typical little houses made out of stone standing on pillars to store wheat. Just walk around, marvel at the historic buildings and climb on top of the castle to get beautiful views down the valley.
