Content: The water park is very good we had lots of fun. The best indoor hot water park and spa we have ever been to. Great place to hang out for a couple of hours. We suggest you to go there and try different sauna. The staff is well prepared and very polite.
Content: Beautiful ambience and decor. Also presentation is artistic and marvelous. There were plenty of remarkable dishes, in all most of the things we tried were good. Being an upscale restaurant the prices are also high.
Day 3 - 4 Jun 2019
Content: We reached Sinaia by car in 1 hr and 45 mins. Being short of time we visited only one floor of castle out of two. In our opinion the basic entry is enough to appreciate the grand splendor, richness of materials and decor of the building.
Content: Great place to visit during summer, when it has a lot of beautiful flowers. Don't miss the small gorgeous church. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.
Day 3 - 4 Jun 2019
Content: It took an hour to reach Brasov. The black church is an amazing historical landmark. You can still see the signs of the fire that gave the church its famous name. No pictures are allowed inside. Is not so big church, you will need 30-45 minutes to visit it.
Content: Not big enough although it was interesting. It gets extremely crowded during the weekends so you better try to go there during working days. A nice coffee shop and cafe on site
Content: It's about a 10 minute walk up the hill and is so worth it. Beautiful views and well preserved ruins in their original state. It was better than Bran Castle. The views from there are breathtaking.
Content: This hotel had very comfortable bed and rooms. There is a large balcony with great views of the mountains. Highly recommended as is located at the high altitude.
Content: This one of the best restaurant of Hotel Alpin. It serves authentic Romanian dishes while enjoying the mountain landscapes.
Day 4 - 5 Jun 2019
Content: Left early for Sighisoara, it was approx 2 hours drive. This property is centrally located. On arrival we got lovely complementary bottle of red wine and a hand written note to welcome us to the hotel in our room. Gorgeous rooms and really helpful staff.
Content: After check in we left for exploring Sighisoara. Its a small town and all attractions on walkable distance. It's a monument and museum, top views are breathtaking. Although it's not so friendly when it comes to visitors speaking a different language than Romanian.
Content: The location of the church was on top of the hill and have a great view. You will not miss this church after bypassing the clock tower. Road is a mess and needs renovation.
Content: Super informative and delivered in English. An excellent way to spend about 30 minutes in Sighisoara. Costing only 15 Lei per person.
Content: Lots of stairs, it will leave you breathless if you're not in good health. There are some musicians that are playing on top of the stairs and that can be good motivation.
Content: The most interesting church in the Old Town. For a minimal fee, you can take a quick tour inside. Don't miss the churchyard if you like romantic atmosphere.
Content: Restaurant decorated in medieval style, the menu has everything from breakfast to dessert for a good price. Traditional dishes were very delicious.
Day 5 - 6 Jun 2019
Content: It took us 1 hr 30 mins to reach Sibiu. We left early to cover as many sights as we can in a day. As you climb stairs, you will see some sculptures made by young local artisans and the tools they used. Not suitable for people suffering from claustrophobia
Content: A real roman catholic cathedral which is not that big but is truly impressive. Entry is free.
Content: The Council Tower is easy to find and worth climbing to the top. It costs only 2 Ron to visit it and the views from the last floor are absolutely rewarding. Be aware as the staircase is very narrow in some parts.
Content: Take photos on the bridge, especially during the winter holidays when the bridge is covered with an illuminated arch with hundreds of colorful lights. It's a beautiful bridge with a great view. It's worth seeing both at night and during the day.
Content: It is the main largest square of the town, here you will find the finest restaurants and cafes, brand shops, and art galleries. It is also the place were festivals and concerts take place.
Content: The staff was polite but probably those people have an administrative role. They did not allow you to take pictures, or if you want to click you have to pay which was very expensive. Very interesting exhibits from the bronze age and going up to the medieval and renaissance periods which are extremely well represented.
Content: Room was fairly large with comfortable bed. Try to get your room at a high floor and you'll have a good view. Not the cheapest but it's located great.
Content: This place was just amazing. The menu is varied for both food and drinks. The soups are especially delicious. The service is also very warm and friendly.
Day 6 - 7 Jun 2019
Content: We left Sibiu after having breakfast at the Hotel, it took us an hour to reach Alba Iulia. Its nice and quiet place with a beautiful view. Very well preserved. A lot of history since Roman empire. Do not miss. Watch out for parking on busy days, it's hard to find one.
Content: This church is one of the main attractions in the fortress. Bring a jacket as it's always cold inside, but also be sure to catch some of the evening organ concerts. They are worth it.
Content: This is a wonderful historic religious place. If you have only short period of time to tour the citadel grounds, the cathedral should be on your list to see places.
Content: Very close to the citadel, 10 minutes of walking and there is parking in front of the hotel. The rooms are large and tidy with almost everything you need.
Content: The food was really delicious, we had duck and pork which was amazing. The staff is very friendly and professional.
Day 7 - 8 Jun 2019
Content: Took us 1 hour and 45 mins to reach Cluj Napoca. Decent location within Cluj. The air condition was pretty noisy, otherwise we enjoyed my stay.
Content: Very nice and spacious place with lots of greenery. Park has large alleyways and a pond as well. But not easy to cut yourself off from traffic though. In summer it hosts many events like Jazz in the park, beer craft festival and wine festival.
Content: There is a nominal entry fee to visit this beautiful garden. Highly recommend visiting during greenhouse opening hours. A great pause from the chaos of the city.
Content: During the warmer months it's great for a coffee, a meal on the sidewalk or just a walk in town. Many events take place here and there is always something to do. Great cafes and restaurants around too.
Content: Best traditional Romanian food in Cluj! The staff are lovely and really professional. The Roata platter could easily feed 3 moderately hungry peeps! Easily one of my favourite places in town. Book your table in advance.
Day 8 - 9 Jun 2019
Content: Its a 5 hours drive to Timisoara. Usually we see accommodation as just a place to crash but this hostel and its friendly owners really enhanced our stay and gave us a great insight into Romanian culture.
Content: We would recommend a walk around Union Square, named as such in 1919 at the end of WWI. There are three main squares in Timisoara but this was our favourite.
Content: Of all the things to do in Timisoara, none are more Instagrammable than Umbrella Street.
Content: Built in baroque style by an Austrian architect, this cathedral took 18 years to complete.
Content: This unusual building immediately caught my eye when I arrived in Union Square. Looking entirely different from the others, Casa Bruck is built in Art Nouveau style.
Content: Inside this decadent building off Union Square is a classic art gallery. Fans of modern art won’t be in their element because most of the paintings date back several centuries.
Content: We ordered this amazing avocado burger with smoked salmon inside. It was so fresh and delicious. Along with a fruit lemonade, it came to 50 leu (£10) per person: on the higher end of Romanian prices but definitely worth it.
Day 9 - 10 Jun 2019
Content: Victory Square has some interesting sights to see, as well as a large paved area where locals relax and socialise.
Content: Measuring 90 metres in height and boasting 11 towers, the Orthodox Cathedral is the most interesting building in Timisoara to venture inside. Gold, gold, everywhere!
Content: As the oldest square in the city dating back to the 1700s, Liberty Square is worth a wander while visiting Timisoara.
Content: Our 8 days journey ends here. We had such a great time exploring the traditional, friendly and beautiful land of Romania.
