Content: Casa Mila was the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí and was built between 1906 and 1912. Once you’re in Barcelona you should definitely see it, it’s very unique 😍

Content: The Ramblas, or Las Ramblas when you're in Spain, is one of the most famous and iconic boulevards of Barcelona. It is true that Las Ramblas is very busy in the summer, feels touristy and sadly there are many pickpockets, so be careful!

Content: Rambla Del Mar is a wooden suspension bridge with a wavy pattern, symbolizing the connection of the city with the Mediterranean. If you continue walking towards Port Vell, a wooden walkway, now known as the Rambla de Mar, will take you to the Maremàgnum, a complex with shops, cinemas -including an IMAX theater- and a large aquarium. It is also an absolutely beautiful walk that will give you a wonderful view of Montjuïc and the lower part of the Barri Gòtic. 🥰
Content: The Columbus Monument is a 60 m tall monument to Christopher Columbus at the lower end of La Rambla. It was constructed for the Exposición Universal de Barcelona (1888) in honor of Columbus' first voyage to the Americas.
Content: The Montjuïc offers a spectacular view of Barcelona. The castle was built in 1640, and a military museum has used the castle since 1960. You can go there by bus or taxi but you can also buy cable car tickets. The cable car connects the city with the top of Montjuïc hill. To achieve that, the cable car rises 84.5 metres over a distance of 750 metres. You can walk near and around the Barcelona castle for free. You do have to buy a ticket for the military exhibit.

Content: The Arc de Triomf is a triumphal arch in the city of Barcelona. Great place for watching small performances of artists and generally fun atmosphere. 😍
Content: One of the most beautiful parks in Barcelona, very idyllic and probably the greenest oasis in this megacity. There are a lot of places to sit, have a run or walk… You can also bring a bottle of wine or some beers, food, and picnic at the park 🥰
Content: Barcelona Zoo occupies over 14 hectares inside the Parc de la Ciutadella. The zoo houses about 5500 animals from more than 400 species. The animals are impressive - sumatran tigers, giant tortoises, Rothschild's giraffes, a Komodo dragon—and the enclosures are generous and well maintained. Tickets cost 20 eur.

Content: The Barceloneta Beach is the most distinguished and well-known beach in the city. There are a lot of restaurants, small bars and shops. Be prepared for crazy crowd, a lot of tourists and people trying to sell drinks, souvenirs and massages 😁

Content: The Passeig del Born is one of the main routes through the area and dates back to the 13th century. Today, the area is popular with tourists and locals alike and is home to many independents shops, cafés, and restaurants.
Content: Flamenco is a passionate Spanish dance. The performance is also known for its singing, guitar playing, romance and colourful costumes. People describe Flamenco as a state of mind in that it is an expression of deep emotions. This place offers wide variety of food served at buffet, nice sangria and good performance 🎭

Content: Park Guell is well known for its unique style of Trencadis, a mosaic created by small pieces of broken ceramic. Park Guell became of the most famous and iconic landmarks by Antoni Gaudí. The place is most definitely worth visiting. 😍
Content: The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia is a monumental church devoted to the Holy Family: Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Construction began in 1882, based on plans drawn up by the architect Francisco de Paula del Villar, and Antoni Gaudi was commissioned to continue the project in 1883. The Temple has always been an expiatory church, built only from donations. As Gaudi said: "The Expiatory Church of the Sagrada Familia is made by the people and is mirrored in them. It is a work that is in the hands of God and the will of the people." In 2010, Pope Benedict XVI consecrated the site as a minor basilica.

Content: Absolutely worth a day trip. Spend some time visiting the main buildings but also go for a walk on one of the paths leading out in the nature. Or take one of the funiculars to the other sights nearby. The food options are somewhat limited and you might want to take some food with you when visiting. 😊

Content: Located just 30 minutes south of Barcelona, Sitges has been described as the Saint-Tropez of Spain thanks to its glitzy beach crowd and lively nightlife. We went there to spend time at the beach. There is a bus leaving from Placa Catalunya 🏖

Content: There are many unique species we have never encountered. The up-close experience with the octopus was interesting and engaging. The walk through tunnels with marine life all around you is spectacular. Well worth the visit if you have some time left 🐠
