Day 1 - 10 Aug 2021
Content: We landed in Ibiza the night before and after renting the car first stop is one of the most famous beaches of the island: Cala Comte! It is 15 minutes drive from San Antonio and it has fabulous views of the little islands dotted near Ibiza's coastline, beautiful turquoise waters and several different areas to explore! There are two stretches of sand, one backed by a rocky coastline, the other by sand dunes. That day it was so windy but still beautiful!
Day 1 - 10 Aug 2021
Content: For lunch we moved to the nearby Cala Tarida at the “Ca’s Milà” restaurant! The view was just amazing and also we had the best fish food!
Day 1 - 10 Aug 2021
Content: We decided to watch the sunset at Es Vedrà: a beautifully breathtaking sight that’s a true emblem of Ibiza. It has definitely become one of the must-see sights when coming to Ibiza and it really does take your breath away. You'll notice how it rises majestically from the sea, almost transmitting a feeling of peace and, dare we say, serenity. It's no surprise that people go there to practise meditation. Rumour has it the monolithic limestone rock formation of Es Vedrà is the third most magnetic point in the world and has long been referred to as the source of Ibiza’s inexplicable energy, did you know that? Its beauty at sunset is just incredible.. photos cannot describe the magic of that moment!
Day 2 - 11 Aug 2021
Content: Surrounded by lush unspoilt nature, Cala Salada and its neighbour, Cala Saladeta, are two of the most popular coves in Ibiza thanks to their golden sands and crystalline turquoise waters. Cala Salada is usually very busy, but you can also visit its neighbour, Cala Saladeta, which tends to be quieter. You can either venture over the rocky promontory that separates the beaches or head down one of the easier paths through the hills. There are no tourist amenities or chiringuitos, it’s pretty wild so pack a picnic, bring an umbrella and enjoy the chilled out vibe!p
Day 2 - 11 Aug 2021
Content: We dropped by Cala d’Hort to see the famous Es Vedrà from another perspective; the beach is not so big but very nice to spend some hours!
Day 2 - 11 Aug 2021
Content: Have you heard about Ibiza's famous hippy markets? They are one of the island's top attractions and a must-see for every holidaymaker. Ibiza has strong artistic roots dating back to the early '60s when artisans, painters and designers flocked to the island to experience its unique atmosphere, freedom of expression and incredible light. You will enjoy all of this for yourselves when you visit one of the many atmospheric markets, where hand-made items of clothing, jewellery, artefacts and more can be purchased. One of the biggest and original markets is the Punta Arabí Hippy Market on Wednesday in Es Caná! This market is stuffed full of items from all over the world, many hand-made. A definite shop-till-you-drop experience. ☞ Every Wednesday from April till October - April, May and October 10:00 to 18:00; June, July and September 10:00 to 19:00; August 10:00 to 20:00
Day 2 - 11 Aug 2021
Content: Another beautiful spot to watch the sunset is definitely Cala Benirràs in the northern seaboard of the island! The sundown, in summer accompanied by drummers who descend to the beach to 'drum down the sunset' in this iconic hippie ritual. This drumming is a unique Ibiza experience, established over many years.
Day 3 - 12 Aug 2021
Content: You can’t leave Ibiza without visiting the famous Dalt Vila in Ivissa, Ibiza's fortified old town. Perched on a small mountain next to the sea and overlooking the town is the fortified old town of Dalt Vila which translates to "Upper Town". Entering the gateway you will walk directly onto the Plaza de Vila, or main square, where you will find many restaurants, art galleries and shops with hand-crafted goods. You will find the famous “Plaza del Sol” perfect for happy hours and dinners under the stars!
Day 3 - 12 Aug 2021
Content: We took the ferry boat and finally arrived in Formentera just in time for the sunset! It was my third time there but I’ll never get tired of this amazing island!
Day 4 - 13 Aug 2021
Content: Declared one of the world’s most beautiful beaches on more than one occasion, the Ses Illetes beach is probably the most representative feature of Formentera’s spectacular coastline. The best beach in Europe for sure!! It reminds me of the beautiful Maldives! This beach is located within Ses Salines de Eivissa and Formentera Natural Park and the most outstanding feature of this beach is its calm, shallow, turquoise waters, which, together with the fine white sand, create a paradisiacal landscape. Moreover, being a natural park, the surroundings are well cared for, with dune protection areas, access walkways and specific areas where you can park without causing an impact on the terrain. There are also various restaurants of different kinds to be found along these coasts. ☞ The entrance at the natural park is 6€ per day for cars and I suggest you to come here early in the morning!
Day 4 - 13 Aug 2021
Content: We spent the night at the pretty town of El Pilar de la Mola and we watch the sunset at the famous lighthouse! As you can see the atmosphere here is just magical!
Day 5 - 14 Aug 2021
Content: We spent the day on a private boat relaxing, sunbathing and sailing around Formentera and Ibiza! Look at these pics, the water is so blue and crystal clear!!
Day 5 - 14 Aug 2021
Content: During our boat trip we stopped in this beautiful, wild and unspoiled island: Espalmador! Just 150 meters from Formentera island is Espalmador: an authentic earthly paradise belonging to the Natural Park of Ses Salines of Ibiza and Formentera. The island of Espalmador is a wild refuge far from the most famous and popular beaches of Formentera. With its surface area just over 2 km², the island retains a highly pristine appearance and is protected by the Island Council which strictly prohibits the construction of any tourist facility. It’s a real paradise and the water here is very similar to the Maldives! (In my opinion Formentera and Espalmador are the only two places in Europe which can be compared to the Maldives!)
Day 5 - 14 Aug 2021
Content: A must when in Formentera: the famous “Chezz Gerdi” in Es Pujols! At the restaurant you can taste the best Italian and Spanish dishes with a magical atmosphere and sunset view!
Day 6 - 15 Aug 2021
Content: Another beautiful beach you have to visit is Cala Saona on the west side of the island! It offers a unique setting. The sand is white and the crystalline sea offers sandy and sloping bottoms, ideal for swimming and relaxing on the shore. However, what characterizes this place are certainly the large red rocks that delimit the cove. Belonging to the Natural Area of Special Interest of Cap Alt, this beach is located in a U-shaped cove, on either side the cliffs make the landscape very suggestive. Really beautiful!
Day 6 - 15 Aug 2021
Content: In Formentera we always stay at “Riu la Mola” hotel overlooking Migjorn Beach. The hotel is so nice and the beach in front of it is just stunning! Look at these colors!
Day 6 - 15 Aug 2021
Content: We decided to explore the little village and capital of Formentera: Sant Francesc Xavier. In summer, it makes for a very pleasant place to walk around; at its centre is a church square that's surrounded by white-painted houses and shops that sell a variety of goods. You will also find a great selection of restaurants here that are open for lunch and dinner; many shops are particularly good for a variety of handmade clothing and accessories like jewellery and leather goods. During the evening the town is filled with a buzzing, yet tranquil atmosphere and makes for a lovely way to spend a night after a day on the beach! It’s absolutely worth the visit!
Day 6 - 15 Aug 2021
Content: Where to find the best sunset view on the island? Of course at Beso Beach! What a magical atmosphere! Some of the best sunsets ever!
Day 7 - 16 Aug 2021
Content: The last day we went back to the Formentera natural park and enjoyed the beauty of Tanga Beach on the opposite side of Ses illetes. In my opinion one of the best beaches here! Very quiet and wonderful!
Day 7 - 16 Aug 2021
Content: Another particular place to visit is Cala en Baster on the eastern coast of Formentera. It is a haven for fishermen, surrounded by high limestone walls in which they have carved out their traditional cave-like shelters for their boats. Cala en Baster is quite isolated. There are no lifeguards patrolling the beach and no restaurant or restroom facilities. Here you can find the privacy that more touristy beaches of the island may lack during peak season.
Day 7 - 16 Aug 2021
Content: Then we went back to the port of Ibiza and went to the airport, till the next time! I suggest everyone to visit these beautiful islands, the most beautiful of the Balearic Islands together with Menorca!
