Day 1 - 11 Feb 2022
Content: I have visited Barcelona twice & stayed at this hotel both times. Request a room on a higher floor with a view of the city for this incredible view. Definitely the best part of the room, waking up to seeing the sunrise over the city. It is slightly out the centre, however, it is opposite one of the metro stops. It will only take you 5-10 minutes on the metro to get into the centre! The hotel is located next to a shopping centre so if you arrive before check in or forget to bring something, you can easily go shopping! February is a great time to visit Barcelona as the weather is mild so you can bring just a jacket, the crowds are not huge & the hotels tend to be slightly cheaper during this time!
Content: My favourite place to brunch in Barcelona!! There are a few different locations however my favourite one is in passeig de gracia! Make sure to get there as it opens to secure a table as this place is very popular & often has a long line outside of people waiting for a table.
Content: Day 1 Barcelona We spent our first evening watching the sunset from the bunks! It can get busy up there so make sure so get early in order to ensure a good spot! Bring a few cans & some food to have a cute picnic watching the sun go down🙌🏻
Day 2 - 12 Feb 2022
Content: Go for lunch at the Vegan Junk Food Bar!! Such delicious vegan food that will keep you filled up until lunch!
Content: Moco museum! Definitely a cool museum to explore with famous banksy paintings! However don’t dedicate a whole afternoon to this museum as we explored the entire place in under an hour! Worth a visit if you’ve got a spare hour!i
Content: Spend some time getting lost in the Gothic Quarter! Theres so many cute cafes, shops & streets to explore! My favourite part is El Born!
Content: Great place to go for dinner if you’re vegan / vegetarian! We got the paella to share & it was insane😍
Day 3 - 13 Feb 2022
Content: Great place to come for a coffee & they have a few treats that you could eat for breakfast or as a snack with your coffee! Very beautiful & cool cafe.
Content: Definitely worth coming to visit this beautiful cathedral! We didn’t actually go inside there is so much to see in Barcelona we decided to skip this part. We did try later to see inside however there was a long line to book tickets. I recommend prebooking tickets online to visit inside if you are interested in exploring the inside of the beautiful la sagrada familia!
Content: Spend a few hours exploring Park Güell! There is a free section however you have to pay to enter other sections of the park. I recommend prebooking a time slot as it can get busy & there are people waiting in line the buy tickets.
Content: Delicious restaurant to come for some tapas! Easy to veganise certain dishes so perfect place to visit if you’re travelling with someone who isnt vegan. One of our favourite restaurants of the trip, 100% recommend here & booking your table beforehand.
Content: Great rooftop bar for drinks! Ignore the ugly grey clouds in my pics but this is an incredible spot to have some cocktails with a great view of not only the city but the cathedral! You enter the Hotel Colon, get the lift to the top floor and you will find the rooftop bar!
Day 4 - 14 Feb 2022
Content: Beautiful park to explore! So much to see and do especially for kids! In the summer you can also hire a boat which would be fun however it is not available in winter.
Content: Visit the Arc de Triomf & get some cute pics! Lovely place to stroll down into the El Born area
Content: Great place to come for a quick coffee fix whilst strolling around the El Born area
Content: Best place to come if you fancy some vegan tapas! This is an entirely vegan tapas place with so many spanish dishes to choose from🙌🏻
Content: Go for a bike ride along the beach & spot for an ice cream! Such a fun activity to do in the evening & ride along the beach as the sun goes down! You can easily hire a bike by finding one, download the app for whichever bike you find (there are many brands) and then pay for however long you ride for!
Day 5 - 15 Feb 2022
Content: In order to reach the cable cars, get off at the metro stop paral-lel a d on your way out you will see another separate tram route up to the cable cars that you can get on for free. Once at the cable cars it costs around €14 euro return which is quite pricey considering its only a very short ride up to the castle but the views are incredible! Once at the top you can spend some time exploring the Palace of Montjuic!
Content: Stroll the streets of Passeig de Grácia where you will find an abundance of different shops from Prada to Zara. Spend the afternoon shopping or browsing!
Content: Really cool tapas restaurant where you don’t know what dishes you’ll get, you just pay for the amount of dishes you get! And obviously you have to get the sangria :) If you let them know any dietary requirements then they will accomodate to you & before the dishes they will ask if there’s anything you don’t like to ensure you get the right dish. If you are a picky eater then I probably advise you to try somewhere else since at this place you don’t know what you’ll get!
